Lola smiles at a joke her friend Samantha told her. The rest of the group was giggling, why shouldn't she?

The crisp winter air bit at her cheeks. Slowly, they turned softly pink. Lola attempts to bury herself underneath her coat. Her friend group was hiding behind a tree. It was off grounds so the teacher cannot see them. The dirt-filled path surrounding them was speckled with white snowdrops. So soft and so fragile.

Samantha smirks as her brown waves bounces rhythmically with her laugh. Her hazel eyes were lighting up with such joy. Lola couldn't even remember what the joke was about. Lately, she had been so stressed out with school. Projects upon projects were piling up like the hill of snow beside them.

Her other friend, Tyra was lightly chuckling as well. She cocked a hip as Lola exhaled softly. Her deep sigh quickly converted into a puff of mist, gently floating in the breeze until it evaporated. She wished she could do the same with her problems.

However, it isn't that easy.
