Lola sharply inhales, raising her head to meet his eyes. She connected her dark brown ones with his light green speckled with hazel.

"Hello Riley."

He tilts his head in confusion. The smile he adorned slowly pulling back in to a slight frown.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you mad at me?'

Immediately, the six inches he had on her seemed to downsize. His posture became sloppier due to his obvious distress.

Lola didn't know how to react. Yes, he had been ignoring her. But, did she really want to cause another problem especially with everything happening in her life right now?

Flashbacks of the night before then come to mind. Her unstoppable crying as her body attempted to fold in on itself. Her mind so desperately petrified from unwanted thoughts digging its way through. Lola's breathing speeds up as she recollects the numbness she felt in that moment. How she wished she could be anybody else in that moment.

She raises her head and smiles.

"Of course not big brother."
