Steven's POV

I turned around on my bed and checked the time on my watch, it was 7:45 am. I had been awake for a while, but I stayed in bed.
I picked my phone and opened it only to find 9 missed calls from Pamela, my female bestie.
' oh Pamela I know your planning my funeral now ' I thought to myself. last night I had slept early that was why I missed her call and I wondered why she was calling me last night.

I decided it was time to get my lazy ass out of bed so I got down and went to look out my window. I looked towards the mansion next door, I could see Jason's window from mine. We both choose those rooms so we could sneak a look at each other and send signals too, we've been doing that since we were kids. I saw that the curtains on his window were not drawn so I knew he was still asleep. I drew mine and hanged a red piece of clothe there signaling him to come over so we could talk.
I wanted to ask him if he has spoken to Pamela because she was his friend too, we all had been friends since primary school.

I then went into my bathroom and washed my face. my eyes were still a little bit swollen due to my weeping yesterday and I was not happy about it. since I came home my mum has been giving me " the worried look " and I had to tell her a million times I was fine.
she kept checking me in my room and even offered to call my Doctor, she said I looked sick. Funny her.
I couldn't tell her I almost had an heart attack because I know she'll insist on going to the hospital and I was tired of doing that. I had spent a lot of my childhood in hospitals because I have a heart disease and I have grown to dislike the place. I was restricted to a lot of things and its been a while I had an heart attack, so if my mum knew I was close to having one she will definitely call the doctor. But the Doctor said I was fine, at least for now....

I spend the next hour on my bed doing some stuffs on my laptop. I had almost forgotten about Jason when I heard footsteps coming towards my room.
Jason came staggering in still in his pajamas and he looked sleepy, I knew he just got out of bed.

"why did you drag me out of bed this early morning " he asked.

"Its not early lazy boy "

He pushed my leg and laid on the bed too. "I was supposed to go for round two, but then I saw your little flag " he complained.
" am still sleepy "

I laughed. " round two right? I see

" why did you call me here ?

"I missed Pamela's call, so I thought she might have called you. "

" nop she didn't"

I closed my laptop and turned to find him closing his eyes to sleep.
" get up " I said and pushed him.

" what? Let me sleep " he said his eyes still closed.

" I know Pamela is cursing me right now " I said.

" and preparing to skin you alive " Jason adds.

I drew a long breath. " what am I gonna do with her "

" nothing Steve, she's your only female Friend " Jason said smiling at me.

" I have other friends " I protests
