chapter twenty seven

Sarah's POV

The next day been Thursday, I went for an inter-school badminton competition and had to skip classes the whole day, I was among the first three winners and was given a medal and an award for my school.
I couldn't wait to tell my friends about the competition on Monday, today been friday was a public holiday. I realized I missed my friends and somehow I wanted to see Steven. I may be exaggerating but the night after the love feast when he dropped me off it seems like he was about to kiss me and I kinda wish he did.

I sat on my bed eating the sandwich my mum made for breakfast, I woke up late so I missed breakfast. My mum didn't wake me up because she knew I was tired from my game yesterday. I intended to call Rita after eating and tell her all about the competition yesterday, it was really exciting, I even made some friends.
I was almost done with my sandwich when my brother bursted into my room without even knocking.

" I thought we talked about you coming in here without knocking! I half yelled.

" sorry..." He said giving me his innocent look.
" dem Michael are here " he said and went out.

" OK I'm coming " I said.

I finished what was in my mouth and headed downstairs immediately, half running, I was so eager to tell the twins about yesterday.
" Michael! Micah! I called as I came rushing into the sitting room, I paused when I saw Steven and Jason with them.

OMG!  I was in my shorts that was a little too short and a big men's T-shirt (which I actually snatched from Hope) I didn't bother coming out like this because I thought it was just my cousins. I froze for some seconds then I turned and ran back quickly.
When I got to my room, I closed the door and lean on it gosh! Oh no....Steven and Jason just saw me like this, my messed up hair and in a big men's T-shirt. I felt embarrassed
I quickly washed my face, and then I wore a trouser and a top. I wore a cap cos my hair was messed up and it will take time to comb it. I then went back to meet them.

" good morning " I said shyly looking anywhere but them.

" morning Sarah, sorry to wake you up from sleep. " Michael said.

" it's nothing " I said and gave a fake smile.

" how are you? Jason asked.

" I am fine " I said and sat down beside Micah.

" what's this ? I whispered into his ears

" what? He whispered back

" why would you bring them to my house without telling me "

" what's wrong "

" see how I embarrassed myself "

" oh I think you looked sexy.........Steven thinks so too "

I pinched him and he winced laughing.

" what are you two whispering about ? Michael asked

" did we come at the wrong time Sarah? Jason asked.

" no it's fine " I said quickly
" how's your weekend going?

" good. How was your game yesterday?

" it was splendid " I answered.
" I missed school "

" hmmm serious student. Just one day and you missed school, what's there to miss " Micah said looking gross.

" well we missed you too" Steven said

" wow Steven misses you........ Hmmmm " Michael said.

I blushed and try to hide my smile, I turned to face michael  " you didn't miss me?
