chapter twenty two

Steven's POV

School was nice and I was beginning to get use to my new school, the teachers were nice and my new friends were awesome. I was getting used to the creepy looks from the students and the unwanted attention I was getting from the girls, they will find any tiny bit of excuse to talk to me, some even wrote me notes which I ignored because I was not getting involved with any of them anyway.
I tried to live as simple as possible, not flaunting money around like I use to even allowing a lady pay for my food, but my friends take it as a tradition and I wanted to fit in.
The students here were very obedient and law abiding unlike the carefree and stubborn students I was used to in Concordia. Day school was somehow boring for me, I missed boarding house and night preps but at least now I got to spend more time with my mum and sisters, my dad was quite busy but we got to hang out too.
I kept my grades good and I tried to abide by the school rules, arrive early and be a good student as best as I can, even dressing in the appropriate school uniform.
I grew close to the twins and J-bee and even learnt some personal stuffs about them like, J-bee had a step sister his age named Sandra, who goes to an all girls college. And the twins had a little sister too who was just four years old.

The only problem I had was Sarah. I knew right from the start she was using me to get her Ex jealous, like the time she danced with me at the party because she saw him with someone. I knew but I didn't know what keeps drawing me to her, maybe because she reminds me of Diana, or maybe something else.
She kept getting close to me and I let her, I know I shouldn't but I couldn't keep her away, I just couldn't. Even when I called her earlier I didn't know what made me do that. I know what I have to do but I don't know how to do it.

As I laid on my bed I wondered for a while then decide to go see Jason. I took a quick shower and headed to the house next door, when I got in I went straight to his room and found him answering a call, he laughed when he saw me " talk about the devil..............."

I threw a punch at him which he dodged and started laughing " he wants to kill me " he said.

" and bury you too " I said sarcastically

" hurry up OK " he said and hung up
" hello Mr devil "

" oh please stop, don't make me regret coming here "

" just kidding "

" how's she doing? I asked knowing it was Pamela he was speaking to.

" she's good. She's actually on  her way here "

" you're kidding right? I asked surprised.

" no. She came back last night "

" how comes ??

" midterm break "

" then why didn't she call me "

" she wanted it to be a surprise "

" she'll never change " I scuffed.
" what were you guys saying about me?

He laughed. " I was telling her about your new idol "

" who's my idol?

" Sarah Jones of course "

" no she's not " I defended
" I'm not into her "

" like I ain't got eyes these days. You two have grown close "

" that's because she wants to get back at Sam "

" interesting, does she knows about your history with Sam?

" no. I don't think so "

He hummed. " does she knows why he broke up with her?
