bitter set of vacant eyes,
clearly, they tell a story,
damaged souls losing their way,
even when,
feelings rush in
gone in an instant,
heart, broken in two.
instantaneous memories flood,
jovial ones too.
keep the key to my heart,
love became so difficult.
made unprepared for,
never-ending pain,
other reasons flooded my brain.
poisoned by the thought,
"quitting seems so easy."
running in circles.
stopped by your words
they kept me whole,
under your spell,
voice became an incantation,
weight of emotions.
x-rays show truths,
you left me feeling like,
zero
