what is the difference between i like you,
and i love you?
when no words could denote how you feel about someone,
when i cannot explain what you admire,
and yet,
you're head over heels.
it's just that they take you to a world that no other can.
love is simple, yet so convoluted.
as wonderful and extraordinary as it is,
it can be excruciatingly painful after it dies
abruptly, like a heart attack,
a monotonous crusade.
love can win, and when the battle's over,
and the injuries are sustained.
wear your scars proud.
