that's because you think it's all pointless to attempt something that could only result in failure.
in a crowd of people, my eyes will always meet yours.
you observe me from the sidelines, laughing at me when i falter.
enjoying my misfortune, your satisfaction at my frustration.
why does this amuse you?
wringing me out and leaving me to dry?
you couldn't help me instead?
rescue me from my failures,
protect me from the fray,
but instead, you would rather laugh
because this pleases you.
admiring the catastrophe that is my life.
