~(Y/N)'s P.O.V.~

I woke up to Carrie shaking my shoulder.

"Wake up sleepy head."

"Fine." I groaned rolling onto the floor.

"Guess what today is?" She smiled.

"The apocalypse." I answered sarcastically.

"No smartass it's your birthday."

"Oh yeah." Sarcasm very evident in my voice.

"Why are you being an asshole?"

"I'm not being an asshole." I said looking out of the tree house, that we spent the night in.

We lost the car a while back.

"You are. Is it because you miss them?"

She was talking about the group. Of course I miss them.

"Hey, cheer up. You can still find them."

"Yeah, sure I can."

"Oh whatever grumpy pants, we have to go before the herd catches up."

We have be running from a huge herd for the past 3 days. They don't show any sign of letting up.

"Carrie their right outside." I whispered, backing away from the window.

"Get down and stay quiet. Wait 'til they pass." She said holding Alex.

Alex has gotten so big. He's a year old now.

The walkers don't seem to scare him as much, which scares me even more.

What if he started walking right towards one and we didn't notice.

He would walk over and the only thing we would hear is his eventual scream of terror.

"(Y/N)?"

"Yeah."

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." I answered quickly.

"Okay, you just seemed deep in thought. Try to get some more sleep in case we have to make a run for it."

"Okay, wake me up if you need anything."

"Will do." She smiled.

I layed down on the only blanket I had and fell asleep.

I woke up an hour later to Alex smacking me in my face with his chubby little hand.

"Ow." I laughed picking him up.

"What's mamma doing?" I ask him as I look over at Carrie.

She's sleeping, but she's crying.

I walk over to her and kneel down beside her.

I shake her shoulder, "Carrie wake up, it's just a dream."

She sits up quickly and looks around the room.

"It was just a dream." I said calmly.

"I'm sorry did I wake you up?"

"No, little monster over there did."

She laughed at that, looking over to see him playing with my blanket.

Then we were all laughing because he got stuck in it.

I looked out the window. The walkers were gone.

"Carrie the walkers are gone I think we should head out now."
