25. It's okay

I came back from the conference, I clarified everything but of course there are still people that don't believe me, They know about the crashed car and that I lied so the guy's going to jail now and about my friend trying to brainwash me and that he couldn't so I must have a problem. They think I'm some sort psychopath just because he couldn't see through my head.

My dad called me saying that he is going to the Avengers facility because he needed to talk with Steve, he was concerned so he also asked me if I wanted to go and even though I like them, Loki was waiting for me so I told him that I was visiting my friends, and I'm done with human interaction for this day.

- Yesterday I was applauded for my contribution in health tech and now I'm dangerous. I'm a dumb human being, not a gun -

- They are wrong about you -

- They are wrong about you too - I said looking at him.

- You have done nothing but help everyone that passes in front of you. You don't deserve this. - He said the last words almost in a whisper.

- I just don't like people talking about me like they know me when they clearly don't - 

- Darling, that's always going to happen. You cannot control how others see you. But you do can make the best of this situation  - We smiled at each other.

- I guess I can. I mean, at least I have their attention now - Loki smiled at me - But, why don't we forget this for now and watch a movie - I said hoping for him to accept, I know he's no fan of human entertainment but he said yes. 

I went to the kitchen and made a lot of popcorns, when I came back I turned on the TV and chose star wars episode V.

- Really? - Loki said a little unpleasant of my choice.

- What? It is an awesome movie - I said and he sighed.

We were watching the movie when FRIDAY told me that a friend of mine was knocking the door, I told her to let him in.

- Okay, my friend is gonna pass through that door in a minute, so -

- I am staying here, I'm watching this awesome movie - He said eating popcorns.

- Loki, disappeared or teleport, whatever you do -

- I don't have the energy to do that - 

- Fine - I said taking his arm and making him stand from the bed, I guided him to my wardrobe room - Stay here until my friend leaves -

- Sorry for making you wait - I said awkwardly.

- It's fine - 

We talked about nothing really until he asked how I was taking this.

- I know that a lot of people is being really mean but you don't have to deal with this by yourself -

- It's fine I'm not alone. I can take this -

- Alright, just know that I'm here for you, I, I like you since I met you, so if I can help I will - My friend asked.

- Uh, thank you for your words, but I don't think it is an appropriate moment to think about that- He said that it was okay and that it was a mistake, he tried to hug me but I really didn't respond so he let go and finally left.

I closed the door and turned back, Loki was already out.

- Who was that? - He asked walking slowly to the sofa in my bedroom.

- A friend - 

- Are you sure about that? - He said sitting down.

- Okay, what game are we playing now -

- I thought that you didn't suppose to say those things to friends, or kiss them, because if I remember- he turned to look at me - you told me something about him - A fake laugh escaped my mouth.

- That was like a year ago, and we were drunk and wasn't even a real kiss - 

- And what is a real kiss - He appeared in front of me.

- W--well - I cleared my throat and tried to relaxed - It's real when you do it with someone you like - I said looking to the window - It was a mistake to date him, or to drink if anything.

- And who do you like then? - He asked me with his gaze fixed on me and I cleared my throat for the second time.

- No-no one - I said avoiding his eyes. 

The silence came and it was really awkward but I wasn't saying more or looking at him for ten years because now, now I wanted to tell him that I do like someone and that is him.

- Let me take you to Asgard- Loki said.

- Sorry? - I said waking up for my fantasies.

- Let me take you to Asgard -

- Like right now? - I asked finally looking at him.

- Didn't you say you wanted to forget what was happening here? - He placed his hands around me and I think I just forget how to breathe.

- Okay - It's all I managed to said.
