the lasting regret through a smoky evening

march13twenty17

wild card in the color green, waving down flags. nobody sees, for how could they? the paths forging away across our minds are much different than those in yours. to understand them would be to understand a faraway land that nobody had ever been to.

how many dead ends must I travel down before I am enlightened? I've a heart attack of a time balancing on a tightrope over the abyss, weights hanging off and out of my skin, pulling me down and somehow securing me.

still the dark manages to play tricks on me, to sneak up behind my back and compel me to do things I'll later regret. (the darkness of life)

compromise is silly, let's not talk about that. we're both in dire need of flashlights, since our lights were taken away from us by the dark itself.

let's learn how to light the way, for we'll both succumb if we don't.
