I reach school and enter my form room taking a seat by Lucy, Adam and Luke. I managed to get to school today without more bruises as my dad was asleep down in our wine cellar. Drunk.
as the bell rings for form, surprisingly, Mr Fletcher enters the room. Guess Mr Woods isn't back then.
"right class, i have some good news and some bad news" he says placing his laptop on the desk
"whats the bad news" Jordan (one of the boys in the popular squad corner) questioned
"well, as you may have noticed Mr Woods isn't here and that is because he has gotten himself a new job in a high school elsewhere" he replies followed by a groan from some of the dorks
"bad news? That's awesome news!" Morgan replies high-fiving Jordan
"Morgan may be a jerk but for once i agree with him" Lucy whispers. Lucy dated Morgan once only it didn't turn out to be the greatest relationship since he was popular and that was destined to mean things would go wrong so quickly so now she hates his guts.
"whats the good news Sir" goth girl Sam shouts
"the good news is, your new teacher for form is non other than me" he announces followed by another groan from some of the dorks but the popular girls just giggled and smiled. they need help.
"But your just a cover teacher" some kid at the front says
"i cover subject lessons, since form isn't a subject but more of separate divisions for each year group I'm technically allowed to have be a form tutor" he answers
"fine by me" Mia says twirling her hair around her finger
"umm okay, anyways....if you need anything" he says looking at me though no one noticed "you can always count on me no matter what it is" he finishes
could he be any less obvious ?!
"That was directed at you wasn't it" Adam whispered
"yep, i saw that look he gave you Ashley" Luke answered quietly
"ugh he really needs to back off though" i say loud enough for him to hear. At the corner of my eyes i could see his eyes staring at me shocked by what i said then looks away.
"what are you doing?" Lucy questioned
"giving him the hint to Fuck off, what else?" i reply gaining myself an eye roll from her
honestly, i would have been fine with him being my new teacher but now i feel like Mr Woods leaving was the good news and Mr Fletcher's the bad news. Not the other way round.
