Children part 13

He, woke up almost immediately.

The pocket watch falls to the ground and time has resumed to normal.

He's soaked in cold sweat.

The bed is empty.....

He's never experienced something so horrible. He lifts his hands, only to realize that they are trembling.......He has invincible power. After fighting through the 99 trials in the underworld, he thought he has grown even stronger. But.....at this moment, his hands are shaking.......

He didn't expect this.......he didn't expect her past to be like this.......He didn't expect that the one year of memory that is missing would turn out like this......

He used to say to her that she's extremely resilient and strong hearted.

But, in this world, does someone like that really exist?

She would always go along with what he says and claims that she's strong and brave........

He used to think that to the both of them, the most painful memory was the moment of separation when she died. But, he was ignorant, he accidentally dug up her darkest memories.......

He, is her fairy-nim.

But he ran away.

He thought that it was his fault that she became Samjang. He thought things could turn over a new leaf when he took responsibilities and protected her. But, the truth is......it's impossible to start anew.

He sits back on the bed and buries his face in his hand. Tears start to run, wetting his entire palms.....

He thought that it wouldn't be painful.

He thought that it's not something serious when she told him that her uncle didn't like her.

He thought that to human, their entire is only several decades long, what sort of terrible things can they experience?

But, when he witnessed what happened in the orphanage, he realized he's gravely wrong.

He finally understands, why she would say that sometimes some people look kind, but they are actually very evil.

So, she was the one who gave up on those memories.....Just like what happened to him when he lost her, they both decided to seal it away. She's gone through cruel experiences, he watched her letting go of her sanity. He remembered how hurt she looked when she was framed by her little cousin but was unable to express the truth, he remembered her hesitation when she met Yun-He, he remembered her despair and hopelessness when Yun-He died. He remembered her grief when they met in Sureumdong. He remembered her determination to die when she was burning down the orphanage.

Back then, she could still live, but because she wanted to be with Yun-He, she didn't care about her life.

So, she used the power he lends her and disregarded his warning. She was determined to die......because she has nothing else to wait for? Because her fairy-nim didn't follow their promise and the boy who protected her died........

He could've held onto her hand back then.

Back then, they have already crossed paths again, but because she was in too much pain, she decided to forget about her fairy-nim......because she can't call out to him for help.

So the spirit that was hiding behind the sofa was her.......

How could he forget?

At that time, he saw the scars on her wrist, how come he didn't take the time to take a look at her face??

At that time, her life energy is already running low and she's about to die....because she looked so different... he didn't recognize that the child was Jin Seon Mi. He would have never thought that the little girl would experience something so terrible 2 years after......

If he can't even protect her, what right does he have to call himself her fairy-nim?!

When she encountered the evil spirit from the bookstore, she cried and said that she hated the fate of Samjang. Although she can't recall those memories, she still resents her fate subconsciously. He was so selfish back then.....he would go on a date with her, when she's in a great mood, he would then tell her that she would only have his company when she chose to be Samjang, if she abandoned her identity as Samjang, then she would lose his love and protection.

Back then, she cried when she heard those words.

He didn't understand her feelings. He didn't understand what sort of pain she went through.

He was happy and thrilled that she decided to become Samjang again. He was happy when she took her power back from the bookstore evil spirit. But, in the end, he didn't understand what she sacrificed to make that decision.

She decided to accept pain and sacrificed her happiness.......

He's such an awful person......

It was him who abandoned their promise at first and she became Samjang because of him. Back then, he should have removed and GGG and told her that he loves her and wouldn't leave her again, even when she's not special, as long as she's Jin Seon Mi.

Back then, the bookstore evil spirit said that it was her who gave up her power. The evil spirit said that when she was little, she was always....summoning darkness.......

Back then, he said something cruel to her. He knew that she craves love......she's just a pure and innocent child who would give you all of her heart when you offer her a little bit of love and care......after she grew up, she became more strong and kind, as if she never experienced any darkness. But that is not the case........instead, it was too painful. Too painful so she decided to forget.

To be honest, after her resurrection, he realized he never did things right.

When the entire world was blaming her for giving up been Samjang.....if back then, if he could let her go..........but she came back because she loves him, but, in the end, what did he offer to her?

Back then, he would always tease her relentlessly that the little Jin Seon Mi is not cute anymore, she grew into an old Jin Seon Mi, boring and stiff. But the truth is......she nearly died.

His heart aches, so much to the point that it's suffocating him......
