Three bets part 14 Epilogue

This night, she is sleeping peacefully in his arms.

The pillows are infused with the smell of the shampoo she loves along with the scent of lotus.

The rain is still drizzling outside.

He looks at her sleeping face silently. Her slightly wavy hair is spread out freely in his arms. She is so wonderful yet fragile. Making him want to protect her no matter what.........

And those faint marks on her body are proves of their fierce lovemaking they just went through.

He leans quietly against the bed headboard, hand gently tracing across her lips. Her porcelain silky skin....... her eyebrows......

Her breathing is calm, as if all she needs to do is to rely and lean on him.

She can endure being filthy like a beggar, she can endure and get close to Kang Dae Seung to be possessed by the dark dragon, she can......give away her life to protect him in the illusion without hesitation.

She probably doesn't know that his biggest fear is not about his own death. He used to treasure his life because of what is natural, but right now, he treasures his life because his life now contains Jin Seon Mi.

The meaning of life is different now.

When she went ahead to search for the Marble mountain seal, when she proceeded forward with the dangerous bets, when she was tired and injured but still decided to protect him in the illusion, he honestly believed that she was prepared to accept the worst outcome when she bid him farewell after the last bet.
