Rice is steaming away on the stove.

He really enjoys the feeling when he returns home. If he stays here any longer with her, he would probably abandon sureumdong and live here forever.

She's sitting on the sofa, reading something from the tablet while the TV is playing the news.

She's really focusing on the tablet. He hangs his coat and walks behind her, taking peeks at what she's reading.

It's a news report on an award-winning author for children literature.

"So Jin Seon Mi wants to become an author this time?" His lips curve up.

"You came back?!" She takes off her glasses and presses her face onto his.

"I made fried fish! Although it's probably not as good as Oh Jong-nim's cooking."

His smile deepens when he detects the faint smell of fried oil from her clothes.

The feeling of returning home feels so comforting.

But when she stood up, he immediately notices something.

"Oi, what happened to your leg?"

He holds onto her hand, staring at the dark bruise on her kneecap.

She looks down, noticing the bruise, "I was sleeping in the bookstore. And then I fell....."

He stops for a moment, frowning.

"Don't worry about dinner, I'll put some ointment on it for you."

When he's putting ointment on her knee, she starts to read on the tablet again.

He starts to think, how come after her resurrection, she is still so weak despite having his blood inside her body? If she's injured, she would recover slightly faster than a normal human, just slightly.

She possesses none of his power and tricks. Is the fate of the lotus blood really that strong? So strong to the point where even the great sage Son Oh Gong's blood cannot overpower it.

Besides breaking barriers and seals, her blood is still sought after by many monsters. She occasionally can move light objects, but besides that, she is nothing like a demon.......

The truth is, he doesn't want her to possess this special blood and its special power. He doesn't want her to have any of those. Because they will only put her in danger.

"Jin Seon Mi, when you were little, you get injured so easily, how did you survive?"

He asked casually.

"Grandma was always there to protect me. There was once when I was bullied and scraped my hand. I was nearly eaten by a tree monster. But Grandma came and put a band-aid on for me......but at that time, she's no longer alive."

"How could little kids be so naughty! Oi, that person, Lee...no, Jon....Jonason? How come he didn't protect you?"

"You mean Jonathan? ....." She corrects him.

"He only finished 4th grade and then he went overseas with his family."

"Then.....when you graduated from primary school, did you manage to steal any buttons from the boys?"

"How did you know about these things?"

"Isn't it how things play out in the drama?" He puts the first-aid kit aside and inches close, trapping her between him and the sofa in his arms.

"Did you or not? Don't try to lie."

Did she? Her memories are hazy.

Did she attend her graduation? She can only faintly recall blurry faces.

"I don't want to~ why would I~~ how much would you give me!~" She sings and smiles.

He's speechless, he feels like he's rubbing off on her.

"The first time we met in Marble mountain, do you remember what clothes I wore?"

"It's red." She blurts out immediately.

"and the clothes I wore when we met after 25 years?"

"That coat? I haven't seen you wearing it for awhile now." She replies.

"Hey! You said you will only ask one question, you cheated!"

He suddenly smacked her head, startling her,

"Son Oh Gong.....why did you hit me!"

"Dinner."

He replies, ignoring her confused eyes.
