Mermaid's tear part 4

The prince starts drawing another picture, Seon Mi stares at the painting and starts to doze off.

The bottle of 'mermaid's tears' falls from her hand.

The prince picks it up and opens it. He uses the tear as paint and pours it onto the paper. The painting starts to change.

The prince looks at the painting for a moment and leaves the room.

The painting starts to ripple...... and change into The great sage Son Oh Gong's dream.

In the dream, she feels like she's walking back in time, she saw.....that day..........Seuremdong......and the man crying.

Why.......Why did she come back to the day that she doesn't want to face the most?

She only exist in the dream as a faint shadow. She wants to run away but her legs were bound to the ground.

He held her bloodied body close in his arm.

The Jin Seon Mi that is about to die, is apologizing to him, with blood seeping from her wound.

He adverted his face. His face is wet with tears. He doesn't want her to see. But that excruciating pain feels so real.

Is this his nightmare? The fatal wound in his heart?

Because, his beloved Jin Seon Mi died?

She looks at him, holding her dead body submerged in deep anguish and sorrow. She has never seen him like this. His tears are like razors, cutting at her heart.

Son Oh Gong........

Don't cry......

Please......

Don't cry......

I will live........I'm not going anywhere...............I will be with you forever and ever......I'll be there with you.

Although she's just a shadow, strangely, she feels a force pulling her towards her dead body.

She lies in his arms, drenched in blood, but........

She opens her eyes.

She looks at him gently. His breathing stopped and stares at her......

Jin Seon Mi?.....

Am I.....Dreaming?.....

He asks

Yes, you are. Wake up. When you wake up from the dream, you will be able to see me.

She reaches out and wipes away his tears.

When she's awake, she found herself lying on the beach infront of her house.

She goes back into the house. In the dim light, his eyes remains shut, just like when she left. He's still sleeping.

She didn't know what happened at the sea. Maybe the prince sent her back.

Because she went to the sea, she's drenched and cold. Feeling tired, she quickly took a shower and lies down next to him.

She carefully presses her face to his and kissed him.

And then, she starts to sob quietly.

She thinks about all the things he did for her silently. Think about how he always used teasing as a disguise. Think about all the pain that he experienced after her death.

Maybe all of this is tiring her out. She fell asleep........

The person that's supposed to be sleeping suddenly opens his eyes.

He looks at her silently and wipes away the wetness on her lashes.

Mermaid's tears.......

He caresses her eyes.

He used to create a dream for her with the mermaid's tears. And now, she too created a dream for him?

To Jin Seon Mi, her deceased grandma will never come back. Therefore, that dream is fake.

But, that Jin Seon Mi, in the dream she told him that once he wakes up, she will be there.

At that moment, all the nightmares are gone.

Silly........

He gently holds her close in his arms and listens to each other's heartbeat.

He's glad......this is not just a dream.
