Clary's POV
Jace and I looked at each other. This was it. My final chance to get out of this hellhole. "Are you ready Clary" Jace said to me, anxious yet determined.
"As ready as I will ever be." I reply as he nods. I take out his stele, and darkness clouds my vision once more, leaving some golden light in the colour of another squiggle. I draw the squiggle in the air and with a blinding light everyone in the room vanished. Except for me and Jace of course. Jace turns to me, "Clary, I know this may not be the right time but, I love you. I always have. I was an idiot, for cheating on you. Will you give me another chance?" and he presses his lips to mine gently. I feel the sparks I use to feel. I kiss back. "Clarissa Fairchild, Will you be my girlfriend?" He looks anxious. I laugh to ease the tension. "Of course" and I kiss him...
