Clary's POV
We get into formation and walk in sync towards the door. We are just about to reach it when Jace steps in between. "Look I get that you have a way of doing things in California but this is New York. And as Clarissa should know. Everyone goes together." He looks pointedly at me. Jem turns to open his mouth but I get there first.
"Look Jonathan you may have a ritual or tradition or something but we are not asking your permission now, if you excuse us?" I scoff and push him out of the way leaving him dumbfounded. And together we leave.
So I know that this is an extremely small chapter but I just wanted to say that this needed to be one. Coz the next one is gonna be pretty long. I'll try write in the next day or so but I can't promise anything. Hope you understand.
