“Hey, how are you?” I felt Megan hug me as soon as I turned around from getting my bag from the back seat.
“I’m better.” I said hugging her back.
After Dom left last night I fell asleep on the couch and my mom came and woke me up… at 3 in the morning when she finally got home. I was so going to talk to her tonight and see what the hell she was doing.
“Good… there is a little bit of ice cream left at my place… want to come over after you are done today?” She asked with a small smile that encouraged me to say yes, but the rehearsal with Dom came to mind and then I had to talk to my mom.
“I would love to but I am with the mystery lead dancer to rehearse and then I am going to ask my mom questions about why she came in at 3 this morning.” I said and she gasped.
“Ms. Lucas would never.” She said acting like she was appalled but I knew she was happy for my mom.
“Oh she would, and she did. I had fallen asleep on the couch and she woke me up when she got home… at 3.” I said and she smiled hugely.
“Did she tell you who she was with?” She asked and I shook my head. “Do you think she will tell you when you ask her tonight?” She asked giddy like.
“No, yesterday when I called her to see where she was at she wanted the guy to talk to me, but he said no.” I said and she seemed to be deep in thought after that.
“So we know him?” She asked and I nodded. “Teacher?” She asked and I went through all the teachers that we around her age and I just thought of our old teacher Mr. Rowen who was a total germ maniac. He would make us wash every desk before class was over.
“The only one single and around her age is Mr. Rowen.” I said and her eyes went wide.
“That would be so gross. Imagine if they were together and he went over to your house and made you two clean while he cleaned. EWE!” She shuddered and I knew it was because clean wasn’t her forte. She thought cleaning was a waste of time, she kept her things clean.
“Whatever, let’s go before we are late.” I said locking up my car as we made our way to our lockers.
I started twisting mine when I heard Megan gasp and I looked over at her right before I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked at Megan for a split second and saw anger before turning all the way around and seeing Logan standing there with a small smile.
“What do you want?” I made sure to put as much venom in my voice as I could.
“I just want to ask why you, my friend, are hanging around that asshole Dominic. You know she is bad news.” He said and I just hardened my glare.
“You are not my friend therefore you don’t have any right to ask why I am hanging around Dom.” I said turning and crossing my arms.
“Dom now is it? Got a little crush?” He asked reaching over and tugging at my hair that I had left down today.
“What is it to you?” Megan asked coming to stand by me.
“Well we all know she liked me and she still does, why else would Piper and Jesy not be talking?” Logan sounded so sure of himself that I glared at him.
“She isn’t talking to either of you because you are some stupid jerk who left her mom out to dry with your stupid duet and duo, leaving our dance competition.” Megan said poking him in the chest.
“That’s not what Piper said. Someone might have been a little jealous yesterday… isn’t that right?” He asked turning to me. “And that must be why she decided to go out with Dominic Braxton yesterday.” He said and I heard myself scoff.
