The BBQ was great. The smell alone made my mouth water and the way it tasted was like heaven. But now it was time for everyone to leave.

Dom's parents had told all of us that the dance floor was the grass area. Which was huge.

It was the first time I realized Dom was somewhat rich. Made me embarrassed that my house is half the size of his backyard.

Dom pulled me onto the dance floor every chance he got and we danced every type of way and we weren't the only ones. Megan was dancing with another senior, Ray, and she seemed pretty comfortable.

I don't like him though. He was kind of full of himself and thinks he should have been the lead because he has more experience.

It was true though. Dom didn't have any experience but he offered, and he was willing to help.

"Let's get you home." Dom whispered pulling me along. I was tired. I woke up at 6am and it was now 10pm. That is a long time.

"I'm tired." I whined as we got to the stairs leading onto the back porch.

"Want to sleepover?" He asked and I HA-ed knowing that if that happened I would be grounded and only be able to spend time with him while practicing.

"My mom might not get home for a while but if I wasn't home when she was the only time I would see you is with everyone else around." I said and walked up the stairs slowly.

I felt bad because Maddie had stayed in her room all day and only came out to use the bathroom but she was happy that we moved forward in the competition.

"Fine, your place then?" He asked with a cheesy smile and I just rolled my eyes. Technically my mom said I could never be at a boys house all alone... she never said anything about our house.

"You can stay for a bit if that's what you mean." I said knowing that even if I did pull that I would still get in trouble.

"I'll take what I can get." He said as we walked through. "I'm taking Jesy home!" He shouted to the quiet house and I heard Rudy shouting goodbye and that was it before he and I walked out of the house.

"I have to climb." I said looking at his truck with pure exhaustion on my face.

"Well let's see about that." He said gaining my attention before lunging at me and throwing my over his shoulder while I screamed and laughed. "Now we just open the door and set you in." He said and did as he narrated and then smiled at me.

"Why couldn't you have done that when we were walking up those stairs?" I asked seriously and he just laughed before jogging around to his side leaving the door wide open.

It took me a few tries but I finally got the door closed and he looked so amused the whole way back to my house that I was sort of pouting when we got there.

I hopped out and pushed the door closed as hard as I could with one hand and walked to the front door leaving Dom to follow me as I unlocked my front door.

I walked in and walked to the kitchen wanting something to drink.

Dom came in after me and I saw he brought my dance bag in. I had forgotten all about it being in his car. At least he remembered. "You want anything?" I shouted putting the juice back in anyways.

"Water." He said looking around the house like he had never seen it before.

I turned and filled his cup up and walked slowly and quietly until I was at his side. He was looking at the only picture we had of my dad on display.

"That's him." I told him knowing he wouldn't ask. I saw the confusion on his face when I walked up so I knew he didn't think it was him.

He looked right over to me as if he had done something wrong.

"That's you?" He asked with a huge smile and pointed to me in my dad's arms. "You were so chubby." He cooed and I just deadpanned.

"I'm glad you think so." I said and looked back at the picture. I usually hate looking at it, but right now it was making me wonder what would have happened if he stayed.

"You look tired." He said making me look over at him and away from the picture. I wonder how long I had been looking at it. "Let's watch a movie until your mom comes home and kicks me out." He said and waved me towards the couch.

We picked out a movie, which ended up being Aladdin (A/N: REST IN PEACE ROBIN WILLIAMS).

I laid in front of him and he cuddled with me as the night went on, when we put in Brave I had a hankering for popcorn so I got up and made some while he waited.

"Your mom is home." He said walking in and kissing my forehead when I heard the front door open and close before keys landing on the table sounded as well.

"Oh Dominic, didn't think you would be here... I didn't even see your truck outside." My mom said as he followed me into the front room and she was laid out on the couch.

"We were just watching movies, you okay?" I asked seeing her like this, mentally drained, proved to me that she and her guy must have gotten in a fight over what happened, or I should say didn't happen today.

"Just fine, he and I had a little spat but he just wasn't ready to meet you as my guy yet." She said sitting up and patting the seat next to her for me. I sat down and Dom sat by me.

It wasn't long until I heard my mom's even breathing and the movie was over.

"I guess I should go." Dom said peeking over at her before standing up.

"Yeah..." I said standing up as well and walking behind him to the door. I hadn't realized it was almost 2 until I looked outside and the moon was falling from the center of the sky. "You're not going to get in trouble right?" I asked and bit my lip as he smiled.

"Naw... mom and dad are heavy sleepers once they fall asleep. Plus all I have to tell Maddie is that I was with you." He said and smiled at me as he pulled me outside. "See you for a late breakfast tomorrow." He sort of asked but I knew he was telling me.

"I'll see you then... but why don't we get a place down so I know where to meet you." I laughed since he didn't say anything.

"I'll be by to pick you up." He said and leaned down to peck my lips and pull back slightly. "11... be ready?" He asked and I held back my groan that meant I had to be up by 10:30 at the latest.

"Can't we go for lunch? I mean that fits into my sleep schedule so much better." I said and bat my eyes at him.

"No, because I have something different set up for lunch." He smirked and before I could ask any questions he pulled me in for a mini make out session and left me standing like a fool pouting as he sauntered to his truck and drove off waving at me.

I walked in the house and got my mom up and into bed before going straight to bed and checking my phone.

Just got home and in bed without being caught. Night beautiful... and remember ready by 11! -D
