"Cassandra!" I shouted.

The caretaker cried out in agony, and then pushed the knife away and held her stomach. She fell on her knees and took deep breaths.

"Y-you...stabbed me," she said between breaths.

My hands quivered, and my mouth dropped open. I tried to speak, to form my mouth into saying different words, but I could not. I was speechless for what had happened.

For what I had done.

Cassandra lied down on her back and groaned. She slowly pulled her hands away from her stomach, and I covered my mouth to keep from gagging. Blood was staining her clothes, and there was blood on her hands.

"You...did this...to me," my caretaker stated.

I shook my head furiously and teared up. "It was an accident!" I confessed, finally finding my voice. "I did not mean to hurt you!"

She coughed. "That is a lie. You...you hated my guts and literally stabbed me in the guts."

"Honest! I was playing with the knife, and you took me by surprise!"

"Lies. All lies."

"It is the truth! And for the record, I do not hate you! I hate the things that you do to me!" I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned.

It was Slappy.

Slappy cackled and brushed my hair. "Well done, my dear," he said, smiling with glee. "I knew that you had it in you."

I took a step back. Away from the puppet who was now standing on the counter. "I-I did not mean to..." I stammered.

"Yes, you did. I saw the whole thing." He jumped off the counter and landed on his feet. He walked to Cassandra. "So you are the one who is giving my friend trouble. Shame on you."

Cassandra tilted her head to get a better view of him. "I-I was protecting her," she spoke. "She does not know what the world is like."

"You are right. Shelly does not know how cruel the world is." He chuckled. "That is why I am going to change all that. For my friends' sakes, my sake, and most importantly, her sake."

"Change?" I repeated the word.

The puppet looked at me and nodded. "With you by my side, we will rule the world!"

I gasped. "Rule the world?"

Slappy grabbed the end of the dress and yanked it to the floor. My caretaker carefully sat up and, covering the wound with a hand, scooted to the counter. She rested her back against the counter and breathed heavily.

I was really worried about Cassandra. Even if she was making my life unbearable and miserable, she was hurt. Physically and possibly emotionally. And I could not just stand there and do nothing. I could not let her suffer like that. I am not that type of person.

I hurried to her and reached for her, but Slappy grabbed my arm and tsk-tsked.

"Now, Shelly," he began. "Do not make me disappointed already. I am proud of you for stabbing her and showing her who is boss around here."

"I told you! It was an accident!" I proclaimed. "She startled me!" I tried pulling my arm away, but he would not loosen his grip.

"You do not need to make excuses." He gripped my face with his other hand and smirked. "After all, you have made Slappy very happy." He gently blew a cool breeze in my face. "You will make an excellent queen. My bride."

My eyes widened, and before I had a chance to respond, the puppet pressed his wooden lips against my soft, human lips. He let go of my arm and held my face in place, kissing me deeply.

"Mmm!" I tried pushing him away. He would not budge though.

Slappy soon pulled back from the kiss and snapped his fingers. I gasped as I noticed that the wedding dress was on my body.

And it fit perfectly!

"Perfect," he said creepily. "Absolutely perfect."

"No!" I disagreed. "Not perfect!"

Just then, a group of people burst in through the entrance doors. I recognized them immediately.

Shivers. Hannah. Zach. And Champ.

"Guys?" I said.

Hannah eyed the knife in my hand. She glared at Cassandra, and then at me. "Shelly, what have you done?" she asked.
