We didn't have much time to talk everything she wanted to know about our past because she needed to go, for her fiancée is already looking for her.

After that, she asked me to stop talking; she already heard enough, minus the fact that we had a child and how I exactly left him which she forgot to ask about. But before she left, she told me something which I shouldn't forget according to her.

"I can't measure how much he feels for you before but it already enough for me to conclude that he does love you. You're already done years ago; I just hope you won't mess with our relationship. Because if you do, you will never see how the sun rises anymore. Mark my words."

Past is sometimes a threat to some, a memory that should be forgotten but for me, the past is a treasure I must keep. Even how bad your past is, you wouldn't become who you are now without it.

"Can't I change your mind?" the President asked me as I told him my reasons for leaving.

I shook my head and smiled at him.

"I am sorry if I failed your expectations towards my performance, sir," I apologized.

"I am also a parent so I understand you but my concern now is my daughter," he said.

"Don't worry sir, I will send one of my trusted people to be Thalia's partner and even if I'm away, I will still ask for the progress and help them to solve the mystery. As of now, Thalia is stalking Czarina's friend, Catherine; because we are really thinking that she knows something," I told him.

Para bang mangha siyang napatitig sa akin.

"You're still going to be in touch even if you're away?"

'Yes, sir. Honestly, I accepted this job, not because of money –we have a lot of it –but because I wanted to help you find your daughter. I am also a parent and I exactly know how hard to be away from them. I am just leaving Russia because I want to be with my family and it won't deprive me of helping you out. I can't promise to give all my full attention to the case but I will assure you that I am going to help. Our agency can also help."

I gave him an assuring smile and so he gave me a nod at sinabing umalis lamang ako kung dumating na ang taong papalit sa akin and it would be three days from now.

Umuwi ako sa unit namin at pinaghanda ang magiging hapunan namin ni Thalia dahil alam kong pagod siya sa kakasunod sa kaibigan ni Czarina ngayong araw.

Pinagluto ko siya ng sinigang na baboy dahil medyo malamig ang panahon ngayon at masarap kung magsasabaw kaming dalawa.

May kumatok sa pintuan kaya dali-dali koi tong pinagbuksan sa pag-aakalang si Thalia na ito subalit hindi pala.

"Surprise!" maligayang sabi ni Mikael sa harapan ko bago hinalikan ang pisngi ko at yumakap.

"What are you doing here?" nalilitong tanong ko sakanya –dapat nasa Pilipinas siya e.

"Iyan ba ang isasalubong mo sa bestfriend mo?" para bang nalulungkot pa niyang tanong.

"Pumasok ka na nga lang. Pero bakit ka ba nandirito? –"

"Hoy! Ikaw!"

Napalingon ako kay Thalia na hinahangos pa kakatakbo na biglang sumigaw na lang at tinuro ang kaibigan ko.
