(Yo guys. This story is near the end.
PS. I'm surprised people still read this story XD.)
"What do I do with this body?" Aki asked herself out loud.
On one hand, she had a feeling that Con was up to something far more sinister than he proclaimed. This wasn't just an issue with one clan now. The Uchiha clan is obviously related to this whole mess—that much is apparent from Itachi's deal with Cain and Chiron's body under the Shinikage estate.
There was no way Aki would hand over the body of the sleeping Underlord to Con. Nope. Not an option.
The ground shuddered once more, and then again. Aki peaked into the burrowed hole where she came from. Something seemed to have been trying to get inside, only to be stopped by a transparent shield.
As Aki stared into the darkness, she began to make out the eyes of a predator—blood red. However, the creature had no Nen or Chakra in its veins. Only the silhouette of a monster lurking in the shadows, waiting for her to veer one step outside the invisible barrier.
Aki looked back at the ghastly body of the man in its casket. "What a freak show. I never really thought good of my clan. And now, I find out they housed a vampire. What next? The Lord of Death itself?" She grumbled to herself sardonically.
As if the monster had heard her, it banged its body on the shield once again in rage. Aki scoffed, unmoved by the creature's feeble attempts to be with its boss—or so Aki guessed. However, it seems the monster's actions weren't entirely useless.
As the creature slammed itself to the barrier once more, sparks flew. Watching the whole thing with her Sharingan, Aki saw how the lights were absorbed by the invisible creature. As soon as it did, the translucent creature began to show more of itself.
Those red eyes glinted in mischief. And then it slammed itself once more. The flowers on the ground slowly began to wilt, every time the creature slammed itself towards the barrier that seemed to cave in. Eventually, the space between the entrance to the coffin began to squeeze smaller.
Aki looked at the coffin, that lifeless body, and the creature who slowly revealed itself to be a copy of the very same vampire. Just as the remaining flowers was but a field one foot away from the creature, it smiled eerily and mouthed the words:
"Mine."

"Are you sure about this?" Nobunaga asked for the umpteenth time.
"If anyone has the highest chances of finding Aki, it's him." Pakunoda replied, earnestly gazing at Gon who seemed to converse in a similar conversation with Killua.
"Gon, those people are caught in a corner. Are you sure we should cooperate with them? We can wait for Kurapika, and I'm sure this will all blow over somehow. If we join in the frey, who knows what will happen? We may even be complicating things for Aki..." Killua reasoned.
"...Killua, I have a bad feeling about this." Gon hung his head low, rubbing his shoulder.
"What?"
"I can feel it. Aki needs us." Gon added. Killua silently gazed at the boy, unsure of what to say.
"Tell me something, Gon. I've been wondering since the other night. Are you... Aki's brother?" As soon as the question left Killua's mouth, he couldn't help but feel silly. After Aki had told them about her past, it seemed like an inane question.
"I... I don't know." Gon's unsure response surprised even himself. With furrowed brows, he looked at Killua. "I think so. But if I am... doesn't that mean I'm also part Shinikage? I don't know what to feel about that."
Killua wanted to beat himself for raising such a careless query. Of course, the Shinikage clan was not something you want to be part of. With all of the troubles that Aki alone had faced throughout her life, being a Shinikage meant Gon had to partake in that same long table of death.
"My bad, I—" Killua started, only to be cut off by Gon.
"Aki searched for her brother for so long. If I am her brother... that means I let go of his hands. I'm the reason why he suffered all this time." Gon looked at Killua with such grief in his expression that the light-haired boy felt something clench at his chest.
"Neh, Killua... what am I supposed to do?"
"Hey! Let's get going. We have an hour before midnight dawns." Nobunaga called out to them. Killua glanced at Nobunaga and replied curtly. Then, he turned to Gon and shook the boy by his shoulders.
"Nothing's for sure, Gon. And if by chance, you truly are Aki's brother, then doesn't that mean at long last you've been reunited? The best thing you can do—no—the best thing we can do for Aki is to be where he needs us, as you have said." Killua assured. Though his words were meant to comfort Gon, somehow, he felt as if he was the one who needed to hear those words the most.
Killua knew far too well what it meant to be part of that bloody clan. After all, he watched his mother be driven mad by the same cursed blood. And it pained him to even think of his two best friends falling down the same path.
"Let's go."
