~Afraid~
Faint voices. Iyon ang una kong narinig nang magkamalay. Maybe I fainted again since I realized I'm laying on something soft and warm.
The whole room looks spinning and it makes my head hurt. I waited minute before I decided to open my eyes again when I only heard my faint small breath in the room.
I blink my eyes until it adjusted to the dim-lit room. It looks more huge than the room where Xerxes brought me. The first thing I notice is the California King-sized bed. Panic bubbled inside me when the bed is not familiar to the bed I used to.
My huge eyes widened when I saw a shadow of someone lurking in the darker portion of the foreign room. My breath hitch in my throat.
I quickly leave the bed and started taking a couple of steps towards the door. Eager to leave this room. Somehow I wish Xerxes is with me, or that person in the dark was him.
I stumbled just to get on the door. My hands started trembling when I realized that it was locked I tried to open it again as panic started arising towards my system.
"X-Xerxes?" I called out; hoping that it's him, but the familiar sensation of someone looking at my back like it's burning my skin makes me conclude that it's not Xerxes.
"You know it's not him."
I stay rooted in my place when I heard the voice coming near me.
A muscular man who is six and five inches tall slowly made his way towards me. His shoulders are broad and his posture stiff and intimidating.
His Roman nose and semi-full red lips accentuate his sharp jaw and high cheekbones. His hunter-green eyes are burning with coldness, looming with hatred and rage when I meet his eyes.
The King!
Fear and panic spread like wildfire in my stomach. I clutched it painfully as I stared wide-eyed at the King.
My eyes almost rolled back in my head. I nearly fainted again but I immediately closed my eyes, just when I feels warm air fanning over my cheeks. I flinched and my breath became heavier.
"I'd never know you'll be this afraid to me, Zemira."
I shivered from the coldness and deepness of his voice. Even how he speaks my name sounds mocking me with hate.
But I swear that I already heard his voice before. My huge eyes hurt from the tears that wanted to come out. I don't want to blink either as I stared wide-eyed at the intimidating and dangerous man.
"D-don't h-hurt... me... p-please," I breathed while trembling.
I witnessed how his hunter-green eyes dilated and darkened as his jaw clenched painfully. I pressed myself harder to the closed door.
