The Uzumaki Heir

I woke up the next day in the hospital covered in bandages. The room was empty so I got out of bed feeling fine and got in the cloths that were left on the table next to me. It was a pair of dark Blue pants like I normally wore, but there was a long white shirt and a black sleeveless hoodie. I looked at the front of the jacket to see a combination of the Uzumaki, and Namikaze clan symbol on the large pocket across the front of it.

"your awake" dad said as he walked into the room as I finished dressing. I finished pulling the hoodie over my head as I gave him a smile and a wave. He explained to me what happened after the fight as I examined my self in the mirror. The hoodie was a bit big so it dropped below my waist. My hair was longer then I usually had it. I guess with me focusing on training and the exams for the past month I forgot to get it cut. I looked down to see my head band on the floor. I picked it up and wrapped it around my head. As I wrapped it around my head I looked over at my father had that grin on his face that I remember seeing after our fight with Gaara. I gave him a questioning looked because I could tell that some thing big was about to happen. My father seemed to not notice my questioning look as he lead me out of the hospital. I could feel a little bit of weakness in my legs as he pulled on my arm as he pulled me through the village. We made our way to the Hokage's office where we walked into his office. He was still walking faster then me and as he let go of me I fumbled forward. I caught myself as I looked around the room. Shikamaru was standing there next to me looking as confused as I was.

"Shikamaru, Naruto we are here today to discuss your progress during the Chunin exams" Dad said as the grin on his face was now got and a serious aura filled the air.

"Shikamaru during the exam you gave up during your fight when you had the win" dad said and Shikamaru just put his hands behind his head and let out a huff.

"Naruto" He said as I snapped my head up and sat up strait. "You didn't fully answer the writen exam, and in the second part you ran into a fight that was way beyond your level" He said to me. I bowed my head in shame as he spoke about the mistakes I made in the exam. Both Shikamaru and I had our heads bowed in shame as we eard my father starting to crack up laughing. We both looked at him in shock as he leaned back in his chair continuing to laugh.

"You both pass. Congratulations" He said sitting back up with a smile on his face.

"Oh what the hell" Shikamaru yelled as I jumped up and punched him in his stomach. It took him a moment to recover from my punch as he still had his smile.

(you ass) I mouthed to him. Once we all calmed down it seemed to hit me and Shikamaru at the same time. I began to jump in the air repeatedly as Shikamaru just smiled.

"Shikamaru you passed the first part with flying colors and based on the answers you gave there is no way you copied off of the Jonin in the room" Dad said.

"Uh do you have to draw this out it's such a drag" He said, but you could tell he didn't mean it based on his facial expressions.

"Naruto Like Shikamaru the questions you did answer looked original, and during the second part of the exam you rushed into a fight to save you friends, and you are the winner of the final event" He said with a proud smile on . his face. "Congratulations both of you. You are now Chunins of the village hidden in the leaves" He said handing us both the standard Chunin jacket. Shikamaru was dismissed from the room only leaving me and my father in the room. I was sitting in a chair with the jacket in my hand and a smile on my face

"Well are you going to put it on" He asked. I didn't hesitate to jump up and throw the jacket on. The black of my hoodie still could be seen from out of the arm holes of the vest, and I left it un zipped. I looked at my father with a giant smile on my face. I jumped across the table and hugged him.

"Hey do you remember what I told you a couple of weeks ago" He said embracing me in the hug. I let going thinking about the last couple weeks. My eyes widened with shock as I remembered what he told me about our clans. From the look on my face he could tell that I remembered.

"I talked to Jiraiya ad Tsunade and they agreed with me" He said smiling. I jumped away and began jumping up and down again. Dad was laughing as he stood up to calm me down. We walked home together and I was skipping the entire way home. I received many congratulations on our way home. When we got there I was greeted with another surprise party where Jiraiya was punched in the gut again. We partied all night long and like last time Jiraiya and Tsunade went to their home drunk and yelling while dad stumbled upstairs. I had to help hime get his cloak off as he tried to get into bed. As he got under the covers he waved his hand for me to come closer

"I'm proud of you" He said as he dosed off to sleep

'I know dad. I know' I thought as I walked out of his room and crashed onto my bed without taking my cloths off and fell asleep

-Two weeks later

It felt like the whole village was here. Well My father did invite everyone so they may. Today is the day dad names me the next clan head of his clan and he will also do the same for mom who is no longer around to do it.

"Ladies and Gentlemen We are here today to celebrate the continuation of tradition where the first born of the clan head is to be named his or her successor" My father yelled over everyone "Today is that day for my only son Naruto" He said signaling for me to walk out of the curtain I was behind. I wore A grey cloak with the Same clan markings as all of my cloths. Everyone cheered as I waked up to a podium where my father gave this big speech about what it means to be a clan head. As his speech ended he leaned over and whispered the last past into my ear

"Your mother would be so proud" He whispered. I don't know why but this brought a tear to my eye. As it fell down my cheek I heard my father cheered at the top of his lungs

"Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze you are now the leader of each of your respected clans lead well and live long" He said patting me on my shoulder. Everyone started clapping, well almost everyone. I tried to encore it, but I could feel waves of hatred directed towards me. I looked out of the corner of my eye to see Sasuke standing there with his hands in his pocket and his head down. As people continued to cheer he turned and walked away

"Sasuke' I thought as he walked out the front gate. 'Today should be happy and I won't let him ruin it' I thought bringing my attention back to the crowd. I flashed a big smile to them and waved.

'Today I begin mt life as a Chunin in the village hidden in the leafs' I thought 'I am one step closer to becoming Hokage'

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days this chapter took me a while to write and school just ended so now I am going to update both stories (Yes I have a second book go check it out) Everyday

Oh and sorry for the long chapter I am going to try and write more so if you don't like it tell me
