*Naruto's POV

"Well that's just great," Dad said as he sat on the carpet in front of me lit by candlelight.

"So what would you do," I asked as I bowed my head. He took a sip of the tea he made not moments ago before he took a deep breath

"Well you said it was temporary right so I would just wait it out," He said as he chugged the rest of his tea.

"Oh OK then," I said a little disappointed. We sat in silence until the flicker of the candle brought us both back from our daze

"So... UM how have things been I guess," Dad said sounding a bit flustered

"Ugh fine I guess" a little confused about why this was so awkward for him. As soon as I got upstairs I came face to face with Ms. Night.

"When was the last time you ate you look so thin," she said as she jumped behind me grabbing me around my stomach.

"Um I had some mushrooms last night," I said thinking about what I ate

"Well that won't do you will be staying the night so I can fill you up," she said. I laughed as the women ran off with her grey hair cut down to her shoulder. She was a simple woman she wore her hair down and a purple shirt with a brown vest. I was told to stay inside at all costs so I helped Ms. Night clean up around her house. I was dusting a cabinet when I came across a picture that looked familiar. I lifted the picture of the shelf and looked at it

"Ah look at that you found the picture of me and my grandson," she said as she took the picture out of my hand. Her grandson wore a blue and orange jacket and goggles on his forehead.

"You reminded me a lot of him," she said as she put the picture back on the shelf.

"Where is he now," I asked trying to remember where I know this person from.

"He is buried under tons of stone," she said. "He died in the third shinobi war"

"I'm sorry to hear that," I said as ms. Night began crying.

"He died protecting his friends, or at least they say but after it happened I could no longer live in the leaf village, Hell I couldn't even keep the same name as him," she said

"What was your-" I began to ask but a timer went off and she rushed into the kitchen wiping the tears from her eyes

"Be a dear and go get your father?" she said. I nodded and teleported to dad scaring him a bit

"I guess now I know how other people feel," He said as he turned back around. He was gazing off towards the border between the stone and the leaf. The forest line was lit with torches as people ran around looking for what I guess was us.

"Idiots" dad cursed as he teleported away. I teleported to the house just as ms. Night sat diner down on the table. We ate in silence and dad quickly went to bed after that

"You know he doesn't mean to come off rude he just feels ashamed for leaving you and your mother and he doesn't feel like you want to be around him," She said. I was speechless but after thinking about it for a moment it made sense

"I'll be back," I said as I walked downstairs and lifted the floorboards to where he sleeps

"What do you want," He said as he threw a kunai at me. I caught it between my two fingers

"We need to talk. meet me outside" I said as I dropped the kunai and teleported out front. Dad followed soon after me a bit irritated

"What is it," He said

"I know this won't mean much from someone who isn't really your son but he still needs you," I said wanting to get straight to the point "He wants his father," I said. dad just stood there before he turned to walk away

"Is that all?" he asked as he turned his back to me

"Is that all you have to say" I question a bit pissed off I didn't get any emotion out of him "God I know that you feel ashamed for leaving him but at the time that was the best thing for him but now he needs his father. He needs someone to turn to because once your father is gone you can never replace him. You can say it's ok and you have moved on but how do you move on from something like that. HE NEEDS YOU NOW AND YOU NEED TO GAD DAMN GO TO HIM BEFORE YOU GET YOURSELF KILLED TRYING TO PROTECT HIM. TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM. SAY GOODNIGHT TO HIM ONE LAST TIME BECAUSE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU WILL BE GONE AND I WILL HAVE NO ONE LEFT-" I said before dad teleported over to me knocking me out. The last thing I saw was the ground in front of me dampen with tears drops before my vision went dark

*3rd POV

Naruto stood up from the kitchen table leaving ms. Night alone in the room. Her gaze changed to the opposite wall where she gazed at a single point

"I know you're watching me," she said. Moments later a rift in space appeared in front of her and Obito stepped out of the rift

"Hello Ms. Night or should I say, Grandma"
