Naruto's POV

"Wait you knew where he was the whole time" I exclaimed as I pushed her arms aside.

"Yeah so what," she said as she went back to pushing me away from the house.

"So what he could have helped me get home," I said to her as I once again pushed her arms away.

"I could have gone back to my real friends and Hinata and-" I began to say but my words were met with tears

"Well what about your real mother," she said as she wiped tears from her face. I stood still thinking about it for a minute

"-It's just that I care about you and I could bear with the fact that you had to grow up without me and I just wanted to be loved back and, and, and," she said as she began to stutter. I pulled her into a hug hoping to stop her tears

"Thank you. This past week has been great and you have taught me so much and I wish I could stay with you forever but I have to get home to the people I love" I said. She wiped her tears from her face and stood up

"Well you never told me you were going out with Hinata," she said as she laughed through her tears

"Yeah she is a little different than the one you know," I said

"She must be great to have someone like you," mom said as she finished crying.

"More like the other way around," I said as I shoved the note in my pocket and turned away from her. As we walked apart from the ground beneath my feet began to shake.

"What is this" mom yelled as I looked up at the sky. The moon was tinted red and had a deep crack down the center of it.

"The genjutsu is breaking," I said as I took one last look at my mother

"I need to keep going mom, I love you," I said as I began to tear up. She was once again crying as she yelled out to me but it was drowned out by another loud bomb as the earth shook again.

"What" I yelled back wanting to hear her voice one last time

"Protect the ones you love with everything you have and never stop smiling," she said. I smiled as I cried and turned and ran off into the woods with tears streaming down my face

'I will mom' I thought as I ran through the night and through most of the day. I got to a small cave with a stream coming out of it and I sat down reading the note one last time

"Our favorite place," it said. I had known from dads stories and an old picture of him and home before I was born at this place and I had passed it a few times during missions. I heard the paper between my fingertips and funneled some of the nine tails chakra into it. The paper disintegrated in my hand and blew away in the wind. I glanced up at the sky as I sat under a tree. The moon was still in the sky with a deep crack through the center.

"How do you know of this place," a masked person asked as he stood on a tree branch above me.

"I was told to come here by someone who is very close to me," I said as I stood up grabbing one of my Kunai.

"Who are you," I asked as the man jumped down

"I am not important. How did you activate the seal" he said. I didn't answer because I didn't trust this man yet. He took my lack of answer as a sign of hostility and threw his kunai at me. I knocked it aside but to my surprise, the masked man appeared next to me. I gasped as he lunged forward with his kunai. I quickly teleported beneath his and formed a Rasengan in my hand and was about to drive it into his stomach before he teleported away.

"Who are you," the man asked

"Wait I didn't come here to fight you Minato," I said as I dropped my kunai

"Tough luck," he said as he ran at me and began to throw a flurry of punches. I was on defense until he drove me against a tree where he landed a hit to my gut. I keeled over and he elbowed my back sending me to the ground. I took out another kunai before he was about to drive it into my back. I teleported out of the way throwing a kick to his face which he blocked then caught my kick and slammed me to the ground. Tired from running as fast as I could all day and night I was unable to move. I jumped into the air kunai in hand. He was going to stab me in the stomach but I called out to him

"Dad stop!"

*Rin's POV (previous night)

Obito Uchiha

I wrote into the fogged up window. I started off into where I felt his presence hovering over me

"Well done but what else should I expect from my old teammate," a man in a white mask and purple robes said

"Obito stop this," I said as I looked over to the window sill in which he was sitting in.

"Oh come on is this any way to talk to an old friend," he said as he removed his mask. I gasped a little as I looked at his scared half.

"How about you stop trying to interfere in my plans and we can stay here forever," he said as he placed his hand on my arm. I smacked his hand away as I growled at him

"You are no old friend of mine, your not Obito, and even if I wanted to this world is limited," I said with a cocky grin on my face

"Well, my dear that's why I plan to revive the 10 tails to become its jinchuriki to make this world a reality," he said as he opened his arms.

"This can all be ours," he said as he once again tried to touch me. I slapped him making his face turn to the side

"I will never side with you MADARA and Naruto will stop you," I said with a smile. My smile turned to a face of pain and a cold feeling went through my stomach. I looked down to see the Obito plunged our final present for our teacher into my stomach. It was one of Minato's kunai. I stumbled back as I looked at his face one last time. He was crying

"Rin I'm sorry but this is the only way for us to be together"
