Proposal

*Naruto's POV

"What do you mean something my father did," I asked hastily. Tsunade took a deep breath before she continued

"The eight tails jinchuriki was almost captured by a person who possesses the Sharingan, and the cloud believes that ties us to the Akatsuki" she explained

"But all the other villages had rouge ninjas in the Akatsuki but they are not being called into question," Shikamaru said

"Yes, and they are all registered as missing ninjas in the bingo book," Tsunade said bowing her head. we stood in silence waiting to see where she was going with this.

"Sasuke Uchiha is still a shinobi of the village hidden in the leaves," she said. My jaw dropped

"That can't be true dad never would have missed that" I argued

"I looked for the paperwork but came up empty handed it's true," Tsunade said. I clenched my fist trying to control my anger. Sasuke has not only caused trouble for the leaf but he may have brought us into an all-out war between the five nations.

"Well nothing we can do about it now," Shikamaru said as he started walking again. I shot a glare at him which he returned.

"What," He said in his defense "What's done is done let's just try and fix Sasuke mess," He said. He kept walking as I and Tsunade stood there. I stared at the ground thinking about why dad would do this. I jumped a little as Tsunade placed a hand on my shoulder

"You should know this better than anyone Naruto, your father never gave up on anyone," She said as she turned to catch up with Shikamaru. I stood there froze as I thought about a time with my father years ago

-Flashback

Naruto's POV

I walked into my father's office after completing a mission with team seven.

"Well done everyone," dad said with a smile. Sakura and I smiled back at him while Sasuke avoided eye contact with him.

"Sasuke you are doing very well for someone your age but some of your taijutsu needs a little refining. If you want I could help you-" Dad began to say before Sasuke cut him off

"I don't need your help I am fine by myself" He snapped. Dads smile turned to a frown as he dismissed everyone. I walked behind his desk and stared out the window

(Why do you even bother) I asked him

"He doesn't have anyone Naruto," Dad said "And I partially feel responsible for his loneliness," He said. I stood there digesting what he said.

"You know he cares a lot more about what I say then you think," He said with a smirk. He teleported away and I followed him using my mark on him. We were crouched behind a patch of trees near the training ground. He pointed into the field with a smile on his face. I shot a quick glance and was surprised to see Sasuke in the middle working on his taijutsu. We both teleported back to his office.

(But why help him if he hates you) I asked him

"He may change you just need to have a little faith," He said before he went back to his paperwork.

-Flashback end

"Naruto are you going to stand there all day we need to make it to the border by nightfall" Shikamaru called back to me. I broke into a jog trying to catch up. We made it to the hideout by nightfall just as planned.

"I'll take the first watch," I said as I waved to the others. There was no arguments from the others as the went to sleep. About an hour into my shift I felt goosebumps go down my back. I spun around with my kunai in hand just to have it go through Madara's head like it was thin air. I was pulled into his portal ad appeared on top of a hill somewhere. He appeared right behind me and held his hands up as if to surrender.

"I have no wish to fight Naruto," He said

"Like hell," I said jumping at him. I passed right through just like before, but just as I passed through I threw my kunai at his shoulder. I rolled across the ground as I landed from my attack. I looked up to see a small cut around Madaras upper arm.

"I have something I need to ask of you," He said as he nursed his arm. I was about to jump at him again but he disappeared and reappeared behind me before I could react

"Trust me if this were a fight I could have to kill you by now," He said as he held a kunai to my neck.

"The hell do you want" I growled as he lowered his kunai

"I want Sasuke Uchiha," He said. I stood in silence not knowing what he was talking about.

"Sasuke's power has almost exceeded my own, but he is still but a chick in the world. He has no grasp on what his powers truly are" Madara said "But like many young animals he has strayed away from protection, and I need you to bring him back to me" He explained

"So how do you want me to help you" I questioned trying to get a better grasp on his plans

"Sasuke plans to attack the five Kage at the summit," He said "All I need you to do is beat him"

"Like that's not my plan already" I sneered as I turned to walk away

"I ask you not only to beat him but to bring shame to his name make him seek out more strength," He said. I thought about what he said before I continued

"What do I get from this agreement," I asked

"So you are interested," He asked

"Get to the point" I sneered

"I can give you your father back"
