*Sasuke's POV

'Damn him' I thought as I stood in the back of the crowd that was here for Naruto. I walked out after Minato's big speech. 

'I need to get stronger now' I thought as I held the curse mark that Orochimaru gave me. 'I lost to Gaara, but Naruto defeated him. How could I fall so far behind'. I walked deep into the woods around the village to clear my head. I heard a bird cry over my head and I looked up to see a crow flying over head. I take no care to it as I keep walking.

'I can't lose-' I thought as they were interrupted by the crow crying out again

"Damn bird" I called out as I covered my hand in a lightning blade. The lightning arced up into the air striking the bird.

"What was that for Sasuke" Someone said behind me. I turned around to see Itachi standing behind me in a black cloak with red clouds on it. The lightning that still covered my hand now arced towards Itachi. As it arced towards him he just flicked the lightning aside with his bare hands.

"Why do you always try and kill me when we meet little brother" Itachi asked. I didn't bother to answer him I knew it was a rhetorical question. the lightning on my hand dissipated as I calmed down. 

"I know your not here" I told him "This is an allusion"  This made him snicker

"Well at least he is getting smarter" Itachi mocked

"What do you want" I asked him pushing aside his last comment

"I want to help you now the question is what do you want help with" Itachi asked. We both just stood there as he waited for an answer.

"I-I don't know" I responded quietly 

"I think I know what you want" Itachi said "But you don't want to pay the price to get it". Power. Power is what he was talking about and I knew the price way to well.

"I want power, but not the kind that you have big brother" I snapped at him

"There is only one type of power" He said "You know how to find me when you want it, and come prepared to pay the price" He said as his body dissipated into a murder of crows. The world around me fell away as I was now back in the village outside of Naruto's house. It was dark out so a single street lamp lit the outside of the house. I walked by the window to see Naruto inside with his father as the talked and laughed and smiled. I haven't done those things in a long time not since Minato took it away from me. I walked home, but couldn't stop thinking about the price I would have to pay for power. I thought about it until I finally drifted off to sleep. 

I woke up the next morning, and got dress to go train with the team. We met at our training grounds where Kakashi did a big congratulation rant for Naruto becoming a chunin. He was dress differently. He wore his normal blue cargo pants, but he had a white team shirt on with a black sleeveless hoodie on. He didn't wear his Chunin jacket though since we were not on a mission or a formal occasion.

"And for Sasuke and Sakura I was impressed by both of you, and you can expect me to submit applications for the next Chunin exams in six months" Kakashi said "Now onto training. You all did very well in the first two parts so we are going to work on one on one battle today" He said. He divided us into two groups. Me versus Naruto and Kakashi versus Sakura.

"Now me and Naruto will be taking it down a little to make the battle seem realistic for the next exams, but still put your all into this even though it's training" Kakashi said as he walked away with Sakura. I glared at Naruto as he seemed deep in thought. when he snapped out of it he jumped across from me and glared back at me.

'I need to beat him with my  own power' I thought as the memory of Itachi passed through my mind. I jumped at Naruto with a punch. He stepped to the side a little and caught the punch with both hands. He spun around and threw me into the air. As I landed I watched as he threw dozens of kunai all over the place. I was to busy looking at all of the other kunai that I didn't see the one flying at me. It cut my cheek as it flew by. I readied myself for Naruto to attack , but got kicked in the back as he teleported to one of the near by ones that he threw in the cluster. I fell back and tried to retaliate with my own kick, but he telported to the one that cut my face and grabbed it throwing it back at me. It cut my arm as blood spewed out of the new wound. It was a deep cut. I could tell he was taking this as serious as I was. I ran around him trying to build up speed for chidori while grabbing as many of his kunai off the ground as I could throwing them deep into the woods away from the battle. When I finally had enough speed I suddenly stopped and turned to him while his back was turned

"Your mine" I cried out as my chidori went through his chest. I was panting with a grin on my face as I watched the blood drip down my arm. I heard him snicker and was left in utter shock as he puffed away into a cloud of smoke. I turned my head to the right to see him standing next to me with his arms crossed/

'How' I thought. I looked down at my arm to see a strange marking on it. A teleportation formula.

'Damn when he threw me he put it there' I hissed at my self as I tried to block his next attack. I was not able to lift my arm in time to block  his punch. He hit me square across my jaw sending me flying. I rolled across the ground as I tried to recover. I looked up at Naruto with a trickle of blood coming out of my mouth.

'No I will not lose' I thought as a burning sensation covered my body.

"I will not lose" I yelled as I felt a new strength come over me. I looked at the shocked expression on Naruto's face

"whats wrong Naruto" I teased him. I raised my left hand in the air and was shocked to see it covered in marking like the one on my neck.

'so this is the power he was taking about' I thought as Naruto vanished from sigh. I felt a chop to the back of my neck and I was out cold until later that afternoon.
