*Shikamaru's POV

"Naruto Namikaze" I yelled to the blond who ran out of some cave. "You will come back to the village now" I yelled as I tried to paralyze him using my shadow possession. Before my shadow could grab a hold his eyes rolled back into his head and he fell to the ground. I began to jump to catch him but I knew I was going to be too late. I gasped as I saw Hinata catch Naruto in her arms before he fell. She quickly jumped away with him in her arms heading back toward the village. It was a struggle but I managed to catch up to her.

"How is he," I asked her trying to get a better view of the boy tucked into her chest.

"Very thin," She said as she loosened her grip allowing me to see a bit of Naruto. She was right. I could count his ribs under his tore white shirt. He was also very pale.

"Ok we need to hurry but please be careful," I told her. She immediately tightened her grip on him once again as we rushed through the gate of the village. Hinata broke off from the group to bring Naruto back to his house as I and teams 10 and 8 went to report to lady Tsunade. I knocked o her door and she quickly responded saying to come in

"Did you find him?" She asked as she paced around her office

"We found him and he is back at his house with Hinata," I told her. Lady Tsunade took a sigh of relief as she dismissed the others for the night.

"Where was he," She asked once the others were gone

"Near some cave a few kilometers away from the village," I said

"And is he ok, is he hurt," She asked as she finally sat down from her pacing

"yeah he's just underfed, and a few bumps and bruises" I replied to her. She sighed again as she slumped into her chair. A knit formed in her forehead as she began to scowl

"What the hell was he thinking" She yelled as she slammed his fist onto her desk breaking it in half. I took this as my opportunity to leave as she threw an adult temper tantrum.

'"Damn what a drag"

*Hinata's POV

I dropped Naruto into his bed and quickly turned to rush out the door, but I heard him stir so I looked over my shoulder.

"Hinata," He said in a weak voice as his eyes cracked open. I closed my eyes hoping to stop my tears, but it failed to help.

"Hinata I am so sorry," He said to me. I gasped in surprise I looked him in his once blue eyes to see a light grey, but under the grey, I could see the blue returning. I rushed out the door and went home.

*Naruto's POV

"Hinata I am so sorry," I said to her before she rushed out the door. I understood why she was probably still mad about me choosing revenge over her. I felt sleep overtake me for the first time in days. I was plagued by not a single nightmare. I awoke the next morning with the sun shining through my window. I tried to get up but something pulled on my wrist. I rubbed my eyes and saw that there was a pair of handcuffs keeping me attached to my bed. I just lied back down not bothering to try and resist them.

"Morning" Kakashi said as he walked into my room. I sat up greeting him. He walked over and pulled out a key and began to unlock the handcuffs once he was down I tried to apologize

"Kakashi I am sorry for the way-" I began to say but he smacked me over my head.

"OUCH" I yelled as I rubbed my head and he stood there glaring at me

"I guess you don't want an apology then," I said laughing as I rubbed the pain away. I saw a smile under Kakashi's mask as he saw me laugh.

"All is forgiven," He said as he extended his fist out for a fist bump. I returned the favor and fist bumped him back as I heard the front door slam

"-But I can't say the same for her" Kakashi said as he quickly jumped out the window. I was too confused for words, but it all made sense as soon as Tsunade barged into my room.

"NARUTO WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING DID YOU WANT ME TO AGE 10 MORE YEARS YOU LITTLE BRAT" she yelled as she smacked me over the head in the same spot Kakashi did

"Ouch Ouch Ouch," I said as I rubbed my head once again. She was still fuming as I stood up. She rolled up her sleeves seeming to want to get into a fight but I did something no one would expect. I reached out and pulled her into a hug

"I am so, so, so sorry," I said as tears fell from my eyes. I immediately felt the tension in her shoulders release. It took a moment but she returned the hug.

"As long as you are safe everything is ok," she said. "But if you ever do that again I will make sure you come back in a body bag" she threatened. I laughed as I pulled her into a tighter hug

"What are you going to do suffocate me with your boobs," I said laughing

"You wish Jiraiya-I mean Naruto," She said continuing the joke

"Hey, I ain't no perve" I yelled at her laughing more. As my tears subsided I whispered into her ear

"I saw him. I saw dad" I told her

"Are you sure?" She asked looking at me like I was crazy. I nodded my head yes as I pulled away from her hug and looked out the window.

"He helped me realize something," I said to her

"And what's that," She asked smiling at me

"My pain didn't make me stronger, it was the people who helped me through it," I said welcoming the warmth of the sun on my face.

"Good," she said as she turned to walk out the door "But I am serious if you leave again I will drag you back here in a body bag" she growled. I began to shake in fear as I got down on my knees

"I promise I will never do it again, I PROMISE" I yelled to her

"Yeah ok,," She said to me. She paused in the doorway for a moment

"You should go talk to the other later today," She said "I'll organize something," She said leaving me alone.

'OH GOD they are all going to kill me'
