“Uhhh...yeet!” I exclaimed as I threw my heavy, textbook filled bag over my shoulders. Even though it was three, the day was far from over, I still need an update on Mandy, meet mister mysterious, convince Marzia Felix isn't cheating on me, even through he can do that by himself, what else? Today itself was just exhausting, and it looks as if it has no end to it.

Holding onto the black straps of my bag, I walked down to the infirmary, knocked on the door and opening before anyone could answer.

“So how-” I was stopped mid sentence when I was met with an empty bed. Mandy was nowhere to be seen, “where’s the half dead girl I left here?” I pointed to the empty bed, very much confused.

“She was taken to the hospital.” Mark who was sitting on one of the chairs said, “doctor said that one of her lungs collapsed, which is why she wasn't breathing properly.” I placed my hand over my opened mouth, paralyzed in shock.

“Oh God. What is her parents gonna think? They're going to beat her senselessly.” I said, pacing the room and biting on my nails. Mark stood up, swung his bag that was resting on the chair beside me over his shoulder and opened the door, waiting for me to walk out first. Once I did, he closed the door behind me and ran his hand through his hair, very frustrated.

“I've been saying the same thing. She's gonna get it once she's discharged-”

“Discharged? Aren't they only doing a checkup?” Now I was getting really worried for Mandy. Who knows what painful abuse her parents have been putting her through, and now that she's in hospital, things could only get worse.

“Dr. Hanji said they're going into surgery immediately and we couldn't see her.” He sighed as we left the building, “I'm going to the hospital, Bob and Marzia are there. Wanna come?”

“I have things to do. Text me anything and everything once she's out.” He nodded and went his way while I went to to the park, a small walk from the school. Once I arrived there, there was someone sitting on one of the the benches, the back of their heads faced towards me. The only thing I could make out is their brownish red hair.

“Nathan?” I said with furrowed eyebrows as I got closer to the bench. He stood up and turned around, chuckling and scratching the back of his neck, looking down at his shoes, “you're the one who's been sending me those notes?”

“Well-” he started, but was cut off when another person came up behind him and placed their hand on his shoulder.

“I can do this part Nathan. Thanks.” The person behind him said, and the red head was quick to shut up, grab his bag and leave the park, leaving me with said person. The person who's been leaving notes and money in my locker, saying how their hurt me and knowing exactly when I'm hungry,

Sean.

“I was one giving you the notes and money. Now that I look back at it, it was creepy that I knew when you were hungry or not,” he laughed, scratching the back of his neck. (*pretends to be shocked*) A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face and he wiped it away quickly, using the sleeve of his black sweater that said ‘Russian Roulette’ in yellow cursive letters, going through a red heart. (*purposely put that in cuz I have that sweater ;)*)

Was he nervous?

“I used Nathan to write them for me so it wouldn't be that easy for you to figure it out,” he said, “despite the fact that his writing is literally chicken scratchings mixed with Korean.” I chuckled because he wasn't lying. It took me a moment to read all those letters, and somehow I could make it out.

“Anyways, you said you have something important to tell me?” I bent one of my legs, crossing my arms over my chest, and raising and eyebrow.

“Uh y-yeah, about that…” His face instantly turned a bright pink, avoiding eye contact me by looking to his left.
