The boys and I continued singing well into the night. We enjoyed pizza and drinks until we decided it was time to go home. I bowed to them, ready to head home for the day, when Hyungwon stopped me by grabbing on to my forearm.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Home." I replied, looking at his large hand as it gripped my arm. We weren't exactly friends, what was he doing grabbing onto me like this? "Why?"
"You can't go home." Hyungwon said firmly, shaking his head, "It's complicated... Besides, it's pointless to go home now. It all won't matter when we go back in time, anyway."
"Yeah! Have a sleepover with us!" Minhyuk said excitedly, holding onto my other arm. "It'll be fun!"
"Where will she sleep, though?" Shownu asked.
The boys' home seemed pretty big from what I saw earlier, but I wasn't sure if there would even be any room for me. Regardless, I really enjoyed staying at my own house. No amount of handsome boys could convince me that staying at their house was somehow better than mine.
"She can sleep in my room." Minhyuk suggested. "We can watch Running Man together!"
"No way!" Wonho said, "If she's sleeping in anyone's room it should be mine."
"How come?" Minhyuk asked.
I.M. rolled his eyes, and started walking. The boys started following him, dragging me along with them. They continued fighting over which room I should stay in before I spoke up.
"I can just sleep on the couch." I suggested, feeling myself blush because they were fighting over me.
"No, that would be rude to you." Jooheon said. "You're our guest after all."
I was unsure of how I went from hostage to guest so quickly.
"She can just sleep in my room." Hyungwon offered nonchalantly. "It would be annoying. But I am the only one with an open bed."
The boys glanced at each other before agreeing that was the easiest option.
"Yeah, that's for the best." Minhyuk agreed. "Hyungwon will bore you to death, then you can come hang out with me!"
I chuckled, glad we had come to the decision.
But either way, I needed my stuff.
"I still should go home and pack, though," I said quietly. "If I'm going to be staying with you guys..."
"Fine." Hyungwon said. "You guys go home, I'll help her pack."
"I want to help!" Minhyuk argued, pouting.
"No, that will catch too much attention." Hyungwon shook his head. "Besides, they're still looking for me because of the watch. We can't draw too much attention to her or anyone.'
Minhyuk huffed. "Fine. I'll see you soon then, Areum!" He waved goodbye to me, following the group as we parted ways.
Hyungwon and I headed towards my home.
We walked in silence for a long time before I asked, "What do you mean people are looking for you?"
Hyungwon looked and me and then looked forward, sighing, "Well... this timepiece isn't exactly... legal."
"I understand that." I said, nodding. A time travel watch has too much power for one man to control. The world can't exactly afford to let anyone do whatever they wanted with time travel, like we were doing now...
"So, the National Intelligence Service has me on their radar, they're looking for me right now." Hyungwon said, "But they can't prove that I have the watch, or that I found the formula to create one, so after this is all over I'm destroying it and going back to my life."
