I spent the entire night staring blankly at the ceiling, wondering where I went wrong in life. I've done almost everything perfectly (well, as perfectly as I can), and I'm a very nice person. Why aren't things working out for me?
First my boyfriends stabs me in the back, and then my friend does too?
If Shownu knew that Jimin was supposedly cheating on me this whole time, then why didn't he say something? He should have spoken up!
And I didn't know if I could blame Jimin for cheating on me the other night. What if the Dispath pictures were to blame? He might not have gone to another girl if not for the dating rumors.
I huffed, needing someone to talk to, just not the guys.
My phone was going off nonstop since last night. I was getting back to back calls and text from Jimin and Shownu. Both were "super sorry," and both wanted to talk (cue the eye roll).
I was having none of it.
I needed my alone time now.
'Who can I trust? Who can I talk to?' I asked myself.
I needed someone warm and unbiased to talk to. A friend.
Then I had an idea. I turned off my phone and tossed it on the bed. Then I got dressed into another shabby outfit, a t-shirt and raggedy jeans, before rushing out of the house.
"I hope he's here..." I muttered, staring at the small, colorful building.
The sign read: Daisy Preschool.
It was a weekday, around lunch time, and the little kids were running around their playground in the front. I tried to look as un-suspicious as possible. But it was difficult because there's nothing more suspicious than a stranger lurking around a preschool.
"Maybe I should just leave and call him later..." I muttered, turning on my heels to walk away.
"Areum, is that you?"
I turned my head to see Minhyuk waving at me. He was completely surrounded by kids who were all trying to get his attention. I smiled at him, my mood lifting already after seeing him.
An older woman, who also worked at the preschool, looked over at me. I could tell she was jealous that Minhyuk was paying attention to me, but she greeted me anyway.
"Are you here to see Minhyuk Sunsengnim?" She asked in a sweet voice.
I nodded, "But I can wait until later if he's busy..." I muttered, looking at the hyper kids that were running around him.
"Actually, his lunch break is coming up soon," the woman replied, "You can come in and wait for him."
The woman led me into the building. I watched Minhyuk as the kids sat around him. He was now reading some of them a book. The kids were absolutely riveted.
As she led me through the classroom, the teacher explained, "Minhyuk is our best employee. The kids absolutely love him," she stopped in front of a break room, ushering me in, "How do you know him?"
"Oh, we're friends." I replied, looking around the quaint break room.
The woman looked me up and down before putting on another smile, "Make yourself comfortable, he should be on break soon."
