The sounds of glasses clinking and plates scraping filled my ears. The aroma of delicious Italian food filled my nose, and my handsome boyfriend sat across from me. I took a sip from my glass of prosecco before following up with a bite of bread. Jimin winked at me over his glass of champagne.
Today was my scheduled date night with Jimin. He was often so busy with the trainee life that we didn't have time to go on dates. And every month, at this time, we went to our favorite Italian restaurant together.
These moments always made me happy.
Eating good food and being with my dream guy, what could possibly top this?
"Are you going to get your usual?" Jimin asked me, glancing down at the menu.
I picked up the menu, flipping through the pages. Over my menu, I could see Jimin looking at his phone.
"I think I want to try something different," I replied. My eyes fell on the lasagna.
'Garfield likes this stuff, why wouldn't I?'
"I think I'll get the beef lasagna!" I announced, setting down my menu.
Jimin startled, shoving the phone back in his pocket, "You're not getting the pasta bolognese?"
I shook my head.
Jimin chuckled, looking down at the menu, "Maybe I should try something new too..."
The waitress quickly came back to take our order, my stomach starting to rumble lightly.
"So, how's training been going?" I asked, trying to start up conversation.
I knew that things at Big Hit were getting serious for Jimin. He was already being grouped with a couple of guys for a potential debut. I imagined he must be stressed out.
"It's been going good," Jimin nodded, setting his phone down on the table. I glanced at it, because we never had our phones out on dates. But I brushed it off, "The guys are actually super nice. And the staff are a lot nicer than most companies. But they're working me like a dog," he chuckled, "They're even insisting I should lose twenty pounds."
My eyes widened, "Twenty pounds?"
If he lost that much weight, he'd waste away to nothing!
Jimin nodded, "Yeah, but I don't think it will happen. Most of the trainees are my size. The only problem is that I have a baby face."
"There's nothing wrong with a baby face!" I frowned.
"I know," Jimin shrugged.
He looked down at his phone again, brow knotted.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
"No," Jimin shook his head. He changed the subject quickly, "Hey, we should plan our trip!"
My face lit up, excitement filling my mind.
'Right, the vacation!'
It had slipped to the back of my mind over the past week. I was so busy with work and school.
"Yeah, I don't even know where to start!" I replied, "Where should we go?"
"Well, obviously New York and LA," Jimin smiled at me, "But then there's Florida too..."
I shook my head, "No Florida."
I heard too much weird news coming out of Florid. And I also heard rumors that Alligators were lurking around everywhere. I wanted to go somewhere much safer, and less humid.
