Iris’s POV

Everyone’s in silence. I can’t believe that this is happening.

Thea is pregnant. For pete’s sake she was 2weeks pregnant! Masyadong namumuo ang tension sa labas ng emergency room. I decided to go for a walk and think of everything.

Everything is fine a while ago. We’re laughing like an idiot who knows nothing. Hindi namin alam na may nangyayari na pala sa rooftop. Lahit kami gulat when we saw Austin running form the elevator habang buhat buhat si thea at may umaagos na dugo. No one dared to talk or even ask. Lahat kami hindi mapakali. Lahat kami gulat. And the most shocking part is when Austin said nab aka buntis si thea. And there goes the story.

I was thinking of the possible consequences na pwedeng mangyari. Expulsion? Suspension?! Pano pag hindi makagraduate si thea? Hindi ko na alam kung anong pumapasok sa utak ko. December is only few days from now. Giving gifts, giving hugs and giving love. Pano ko pa magagawang isipin ang mga bagay na yun kung napakaraming bagay ang bumabagabag sa isip ko? bestfriend ko si thea malamang lang na magalala at isipin ko lahat ng bagay na pwedeng mangyari at may kinalaman sakanya.

Umupo ako sa isang pavement malapit sa ospital.  Ang lamig. Normal lang because December is coming. At hindi ko narin siguro mamamalayan na 9months from now. A baby is coming. Another smith’s genes. How I wish that baby is so pretty just like her mom kung babae. At oh so dashing pogi at hot kagaya ng daddy kung lalake. I was thinking about all of these things when I felt heat. I looked at my left side seeing a food whore drinking a coffee.

“wow. Nagawa mo pa talagang tumabi sakin at hindi ako alukin ng kape ha?”

“edi bumili ka. paimportante ka andyan lang naman sa likod mo yung vending machine”

“kahit kalian ka talaga kevin”

“kahit kalian kadin talaga iris” I smiled.

“that was the second time you called me by my first time. Improving na friendship natin ah” friendship your ass iris. Alam mong hindi lang friends ang gusto mong mangyari sainyong dalawa. after what happened sa detention everything seems awkward hindi na kami masyadong nagiinisan. Wala lang. just some normal strangers nalang yata ang peg namin.

“about what happened sa detention 2 weeks ago—“ before he could continue anything he wants to say I cut him off.

“I’m sorry about what happened. . .  sa detention”
