A Supplementary Story: Aftermath II

Isang taon ang nakalipas.

It still bothers me about the real story of Daphne and Nadine. On how their names are similar. Everything seem weird and unclear. 4th year college na ako, pero hanggang ngayon ay tambak pa rin ng mga tanong ang aking utak tungkol sa mga nakakapagpabagabag na kasaysayan dito sa paaralan. I couldn't finish the puzzle because of the missing pieces that are needed.

I wanted to call Schuy, but I'm trying my best not to disturb him. 'Cause the last time we talked via video chat, I saw him doing a pile of school projects. Kaya hindi ko na siya kinausap. Ayon naman sa kanya, babalik din siya ng Pinas pag nasa huling taon na kami ng kolehiyo at hanggang ngayon, humihintay pa rin ako sa pagbabalik niya.

Gusto ding malaman ang totoo galing sa kanya dahil sabi niya, alam niya ang kwento ni Daphne at Nadine at kung bakit magkakaparehas sila ng pangalan.

Both of their names are known to be Isla Marenivs. But they also both change their names. Why did they do that? Is there any connection between them? My mind is bleeding with questions and it can't patch up with just one single answer, it needs to clarify, just to stop the bleeding.

"Hoy! Kanina ka pang tulala!" nagulat ako sa biglaang pagsigaw ni Kaylo saakin.

Kaylo. Siya ang naglagay ng cassette tape sa locker ko. He was a life saver. He didn't just saved my brother but he saved numerous people who might be involve in that crime again. Ayokong maulit ang lahat, dahil baka mas maging delikado pa ang mangyayari sa kapatid ko.

Hindi ko lang naman namalayan na nakatulala pala ako. I'm still doubting about the back story of Daphne and Nadine. Ningitian ko si Kaylo at marahan na tumawa.

"Sorry. May iniisip lang," ani ko.

"Still thinking about Schuy?" he asked. Alam niya ang tungkol kina Daphne and Nadine, so I won't be surprise if he'll ask me that question.

Doubtful, I still nod. I'm still thinking about the mysteries. This will never end, and I know that this will haunt me for life if I'll know the truth. The back story, and the real events that took. I know that people from before, especially Gael thought that this won't happen. The unexpected massacre, the repeated massacre in the modern time. Hanggang ngayon, puno pa rin ng misteryoso ang kwento nina Daphne at Nadine.

Kaylo and the others dragged me back to class. When the bell rang, not a single teacher entered our classroom. I still doubted that something is going on, but then, I know that Schuy is coming back. But then, my brain is telling me, it's not.

Well, my brain was wrong. Because the first thing that I know is that someone entered the classroom with a familiar face, he was wearing a white hoodie with his white uniform. It's him. He finally came back.

"Class. This is our new student for this school year. Schuylar Motheran, he use to study here in Play Off when he was still in his first year of college, here." I didn't listened to the teacher babbling about his past. I know everything, I won't be listening.

Pinaupo na si Schuy sa kanyang upuan. He was seated right next to me. I gave him a slight nod and he did the same. The class began.

Lunch came and students scattered. I went out immediately trying to catch Schuy who is speeding up on walking out of the school. I was curious and doubting. My face frown at his suspicious move. I end up following him and leaving my friends inside the campus, but they ended up joining in instead.

"Schuy!" I called.

He still isn't listening. He was still walking, but this time, he is speeding more. Ano bang problema nito? He is acting really suspicious.
