Yuki held on as tight as she could, the pain seeming to double when Vell picked up speed. It almost sent her into another unconscious daze. Almost. Just the movements and and quickening of pace made everything more agonizing.
Her head lolled as they moved, only making her hurt more. She groaned, her screaming ceasing yet again. Her hands relaxed and let go of Vell's shirt, to weak to continue holding on. She was beginning feel sleepy... Another look at her carrier's face and her eyes sagged half shut. Her heart slowed...
All she wanted was to go home. She grimaced a little, thinking of her blacked out room and her purple blankets rolle up into a pile on the floor. She thought of coming home and collapsing on the couch again, nearly falling asleep from exhaustion, only to have Kakashi poof in and pick her up, take her upstairs, and tuck her into bed. She thought of cuddling with Kiba, as odd as it was to her, and watching a movie. And of Akahana, her silly dog partner... She was a good dog, only six months old and still very good at tracking and finding things.
She smiled faintly at these small yet very important memories, people, loved ones, as her eyes shut completely. Another round of agony washed over her and this time, she fell into unconsciousness.
Amaya sped up, leaping from branch to branch, smelling an awful scent. The moment it wafted into her nostrils, she froze mid leap, her mind racing. She fell, only to catch herself on the dirt path. The scent... She cringed and pulled her black scarf over her nose, crinkling the small extension of her face. It was a horrible smell.
She had no doubt that Yuki couldn't smell it. After all, when you're in pain, you don't think about what's around you or what's filling your sinuses. But that aroma was of old books and burning flesh and it was very rude. Very rude indeed. No matter how Amaya covered her nose, the stupid scent would worm its way into her nose. It stirred the contents of her stomach, not the food or water that might be there. No. Something else.
The Gobi.
Amaya tensed and frowned. Death and flesh was a common trigger for her foul, five-tailed beast. That, and naked girls. The demon was a pervert and he wasn't a nice one. She glared off in the direction the scent was coming from, trough the trees. It carried small traces of her friend. She cringed.
Yuki could be hurt.

[Below is a failed set-up of Amaya and Rage, and further a failed Vell-Gets-Knocked-Out scene. The former, I thought "The sooner we get it cracking, the better? 9.9;;" The latter...I am very, VERY tired. -__-; Hope your hand gets better! D:]
Searching the forests for Scythe like a faithful hound treks back to find its hunting master, Rage was disappointed when his sprint through the trees brought him to the feet of the small purple-haired girl from before.
Scythe's scent must have clung to her, back then. That's why Rage had smelled the wiry man near. His peach-colored eyes dulled with discouragement.
The girl turned to him now, having just noticed his presence.
Vell couldn't believe he'd made it. All the way to the old house, too. But apparently that was all the farther he could go - he'd run out of things to call his big brother, and nothing less than vile and vulgar names would blot out the pain.
Now he collapsed on his back so as not to further injury Yuki. She was unconscious. Vell looked down at her little smile with absent confusion. But the blackness was what really captivated him. It hadn't stopped but now he was used to that violent agony. The sad part was, he was sure that Yuki was, too.
So where the hell is he...? Vell lifted an arm and pulled the red mouth-covering down from his face to breathe better - and noticed the blackness on his own forearm. His mind must have been playing tricks on him again.
He looked down at Yuki again and decided she had the right idea. Vell leaned his head back and fell unconscious from the pain.
