Amaya placed her small hand on Rage's forearm, gently pressing her fingertips into his skin to get his attention. Wrapping her little fingers around his wrist, she gently tugged on him and looked up at him in hopes for his attention.

She couldn't understand the way she was acting, but she couldn't fight herself either. It would be a fruitless battle. Go with the flow. Don't fight it. She sighed inwardly at herself, having ignored Schthe's comment. The more she persisted, the more Rage might open up.

Right? Right.

"Rage-kun," she mumbled quietly, almost - ALMOST - blushing.

"Naa, Yuki, you're so mean! What'd I do?" Kiba whined, scooting away from the albino and Vell. A frown was evident in his features, cheeks red.

She 'hmphed' and looked away from him, nose up, eyes shut. "You're an idiot. Vell, let's just leave him here."

"Meanie. T^T"

"Serves you right, perverted mutt. Quit doing that shit in other people's houses!"

Gracie

[He's going on the mission, right? Kazu-kun is?]

It was official - the tiny girl was TRYING to kill him. The cool little fingers that slid around Rage's wrist sent shivers through him and he stiffened. What was she doing? What did she want? Why wouldn't she just leave him alone? TAT

Scythe chuckled from where he watched the awkward exchange. "Kawaii~. ^^"

Rage couldn't let Amaya look him in the eye. Absolutely not. She might see the strange feelings warring behind those peach colored windows. And the fact that he was blushing made his resolve to not let her see his face all the more ardent.

"Mm," he grunted, as if to let her know he was paying attention - that she could say what she wanted to say.

"Sounds like a plan, niece," Vell said absently. As soon as Awaji had sliced a piece of cake for himself, the silver haired teen grabbed it.

"Hey! D<"

Vell took a large bite out of the triple chocolate confection, his taste buds singing at the touch. Even though his love for sweets was being satisfied, however, he still retained his sour disposition. "If you eat a whole cake you'll get fat. I'm doing you a favor. <_<"

"For yourself!" Awaji accused.

"C'mon, niece-gaki, let's go."

Me

Amaya retracted her small hand and backed up a little bit, her intense eyes now focused on something else. The floor. The beautifully in attractive linoleum floor. The odd-textured, fake wood, beautifully unattractive linoleum floor. "Nevermind.." she said softly, walking past the silent giant.

She felt...rejected, almost. It was an odd feeling. She didn't like it. It was too strange, too different to the subtle yet dismissible feelings she normally felt. Again, she didn't like it.

Kneeling down in front of the giant pile of yen that nobody thought to pick up, she hordes a few bundles of yen and stuffed it into her satchel. "I'll be leaving with you three," she stated blandly, her words directed at the animalistic trio. She gave Yuki a stern look.

"What?" the albino snipped, crossing her arms as she worked her way up to her feet, returning the smaller girl's look.

She said nothing.

Yuki rolled her eyes and padded over to her neko-boy of an uncle, leaving Kiba all useless and sad in the middle of the floor. "Waiting on you, Jisan."

Gracie

[When I read about Amaya sulking off I imagined Rage with the most panicked and heart-broken look on his face, and proceeded to laugh my ass off. XDDD (Rage: QAQ) D'awww]

Vell popped the rest of the cake slice into his mouth, chewing. "Wakatta, wakatta," he muttered.

After Amaya had shuffled past him Scythe had almost given Rage a very displeased look. How could he just ignore her like that? Sure, he was shy, but that didn't mean--

That's where his inner scolding stopped.

Rage was staring after Amaya with a stricken expression. Scythe could only describe it as that of a puppy who'd gotten kicked by his for doing something he'd thought was good. Rage wasn't just shy - he was introverted in the most extreme case.

Boys his age got nervous talking to girls. In Rage's case, his problem lay in NOT talking to them. He couldn't tell her he was sorry, he couldn't explain his reasons for his actions, he couldn't say that he liked her - it was the most damning handicap a boy taking an interest in a girl could have.

Rage was still looking on sadly as Amaya started following Yuki and Vell out the door.

[*huggles Rage* It's okay, Momo-kun. TAT]
