"Does she say his name a lot?" Rukia asked flatly, looking at Scythe cheerily, her red hair whipping this way and that as she turned her head to Kazuki and back at Scythe. The poor Kazu-kun... Face down on the table.
[S'all I could say. So tired...]
Gracie
[That's alright. ]
Scythe didn't have to think about it. "Almost once every two minutes. But - see, we only met Amaya-san the day she moved in with us, about two weeks ago. And the very first day she got sick. Really sick. Like, can't think beyond the primal instincts sick. So I don't know if she calls his name because he's the one taking care of her, if she actually likes him."
Wow. Matchmaking was tougher than he thought.
The brown haired man blinked at the downcast Kazuki before clapping his shoulder with a grin. "What's wrong with you? C'mon, eat up! You guys, too," he added, looking at Rukia and her silent companions. "The food'll go to waste otherwise."
Me
"That's it! She may not know it, but she definitely likes him! I know because when she was little, she would say this one kid's name a lot... And he was the only person she did it to. Now she's doing it to your friend!" The redhead was giggling for absolute joy, clapping her hands softly but excitedly. "I'm so happy for her!"
"Great..." Kazuki mumbled to himself, almost yelping at Scythe's slap to his back. He wanted to growl and break things but that would be rude and it went against his better judgement. He. Could. Not. Win. He shook his wad mentally before reaching out to grab a piece of smoked salmon.
And before he new it, the sound of metal whipping by sounded in his ear and his wrappings were coming undone. He almost yelped at that too. Who wouldn't? A scrap of metal almost cutting your face but luckily only slicing up your bandages? Pfft. He almost jumped clear out of the booth.
Shaken, he reached a hand up to feel around the cut and loosened bandages, noticing the CLEANEST cut in the world. He frowned and cast his only visible eye to the companions that accompanied Rukia and he frowned. They were DELIBERATELY trying to kill him. In public, no less.
"So, Scythe," Rukia started, a space cadet as always, "Will you help me get them together? Please, please, please?"
Gracie
Scythe had almost asked if Rukia was ABSOLUTELY sure that Amaya's feelings were so when the whiz in the air made him tense. He turned to Kazuki to see his bandages unraveling, looking shaken, halfway from grabbing a piece of salmon. Scythe almost stood up to face the dark-cloaked men--
"So, Scythe," Rukia piped up, her candy-laced voice stopping him, "will you help me get them together? Please, please, please?" she whined cutely.
Okay, WHAT is she doing with these shady guys again? The men and Rukia were so opposite Scythe couldn't believe they were together.
He slowly eased back, eyes on the two men. "It might have to wait. Amaya-san's sick...."
