[ Rage is so cute xD ]
"He got it from an Uchiha," Rukia explained a little softly, leaning on her hands, waiting patiently for the wine. She wanted to taste the disgusting, fermented white grapes.
Amaya breathed shakily, coughing more softly. She didn't want to be alone... Curling up after Rage shifted their positions, she huffed quietly, sneezing one last time. Her purple ears twitched and tilted, tucked into her hair. She shook in Rage's arms, sniffling and whimpering softly.
She didn't care about the rudeness or inappropriateness of the situation. She didn't care if he was older. She didn't care if he was taller. She didn't care. All she cared about was warmth, feeling better, calmin down, and being with her friend.
She hiccuped, her tiny hands still tightly holding onto his shirt.
Gracie
Before he could reply the waitress was back, setting down the wine glasses and pouring them out. Scythe flinched at the thought of alcohol once again, but shoved it aside. What would a few sips of wine do? Besides, he'd never had wine....
He took one glass and raised it with a helpless smirk. "To Rage-kun and Amaya-san? In hopes that they'll come to like each other," he chuckled.
Rage lied still and silently comforted himself by trying thinking of something other than the cute girl squeezing him.
His face twitched. Cute? Where did that adjective come from? Rage couldn't have-- He-- Ohhhhh no. No. He had to stop. This was getting out of hand.
But Amaya was cute. It was true. She was so small and helpless, frightened at the slightest sound. Even her sneezes were cute. Rage moaned softly, a muted thrum in his chest, and squeezed his eyes shut. Think about something else. Anything.
[Amaya has no idea that she's torturing this poor boy. XD]
Me
Rukia watched intently as the slightly yellow liquid filled up her glass almost to the brim, a pensive grin sliding across her face. Her hand wrapped itself around the cup and pulled, bringing it up in midair. "A toast to my cousin and your friend!" she announced, tapping her glass against Scythe's softly before pulling it up to her lips and sipping.
And Kazuki? Oh, he passed out. Face down. On the table.
Amaya just breathed raspily, willing her heart to stop beating so hard. It hurt... She moved her head just a little, looking up at Rage with her weakened purple eyes, tears still working themselves down her cheeks.
He was warm, awkward, but warm. Even his peachy eyes were warm and soothing. The beats her heart was making began to slow, becoming slow thumps and her lungs stopped working so hard, each breath becoming a teensy huff. She was still crying, just less obnoxiously. But Rage...
It seemed to be his fault for why she was so quickly calming down.
She buried her head into his chest again, closing her watery eyes and gripping his shirt tighter, her purple ears twitching.
[She's like a baby, y'know? Tiny and adorable and cries at sudden sounds xD]
Gracie
[*dies laughing at Kazuki* XDDDDD]
Scythe took a sip of the wine - and grimaced. It didn't taste good at all. It was bitter and sweet all at once, and a heavy feeling overcame him almost instantly. It wasn't a buzz or drunkenness. It was just the smell of alcohol.
He set down the glass carefully, face still screwed up in disgust. "Ah, well, I think I left them alone long enough. Awaji-kun's probably starving and Rage-kun'll have a heart attack if I'm not there when he wakes up," he chuckled. Rage could be such a child sometimes.
The black haired teen relaxed a little only when Amaya stopped looking up at him and snuggled back into his chest. His heart hammered wildly against his ribcage and his face burned. He couldn't take much more of this. Where was Scythe?
Amaya was still crying, but softly, now. Rage's orange eyes softened with empathy. She must be miserable, he imagined. When would she get better? He didn't like seeing her in such a weakened state....
Slowly, carefully, ready for some unknown source of punishment for his actions, Rage raised his arms and wrapped them gently around Amaya to keep her close. He relaxed when a minute went by and no repercussions occurred. His mouth and nose were buried in her purple hair and his peach colored eyes became heavy-lidded.
She smelled nice.... All thoughts of the situation abandoned, Rage fell asleep again, Amaya in his arms.
