Yuki sighed with relief at Kakashi's yell. She crawled out of her room and back down the stairs, slinking onto the couch with cautious calmness. Right in her spot. A grin.
"So, the twins took the cat?"
"Yes. They dragged him out the door."
"Cool. Better him then me."
"You're such a callow kid," Kakashi said smoothly.
"And you're a mean perverted old man."
"I'm not old."
"Yes, you are."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes. You. Are."
"...How." Not a question. A demand.
"You're fourteen years older than me."
"So I'm twice your age. How does that make me old?"
"'Cos you're TWICE my age."
"So?"
"Twice."
"...."
The two shook their heads at each other. "You're an idiot," they said to each other in unison.
Kazuki rubbed the back of his head, listening to Scythe as he made his offer. Hm. Hanging out with a stranger? Sounds like an okay thing to do when you're bored and alone. Sure!
"Yeah, sure, I'll hang out with you." He smiled warmly and thought for a moment. "But where would we go? See, I'm blind so it's a bit hard for me to navigate..." he explained, lightly tapping the spots beside his brown eyes.
Blind as a damn bat. Almost literally.
Gracie
[I'll let Kugomi and Naruto chew on Vell in peace for a while. XD Maybe we can have Scythe and Kazuki run off to hang out, then do a time skip to when Vell's allotted back to the house and Rage and Amaya wake up or something? Maybe even the next day? I don't know. ><]
Scythe blinked a few times at Kazuki, as if not comprehending. Then he smacked his forehead. "You're-- Y-- What!" he asked, astounded. And then he realized that what he'd just done was the rudest thing to do....
He grinned apologetically. "I-I'm sorry, it's just...I thought...seeing-eye dogs and white canes...er...I'll stop talking now. We can go grab something to eat maybe...?"
He doesn't look blind! That's amazing. He doesn't need a cane or anything? Scythe couldn't help but be impressed. Kazuki didn't carry himself as if he were blind at all. And his eyes weren't the usual milky-blue luster that was stereotyped with blind people.
Scythe found himself smiling again. "I really didn't mean to offend you. My best friend's mute, but it's the first time I've met a blind person...or...visually impaired...seriously if I start offending you, shut me up," he chuckled amicably.
[Ohh Scythe. XD]
