[D: That's so mean. Poor Rage. Lol]
Amaya tossed a calm look at Rage over her shoulder, a twinge of sadness in her own purple eyes. She didn't want to analyze his expression - so she didn't. Instead, her purple ears twitched in defeat and she left with her three stooges for companions, shutting the door behind her.
"Maa, onegaidakara!" Yuki exclaimed, stretching her body out in a star shape and heading down the narrow apartment hall. She itched at the base of her neck, yawning a little.
Kiba wormed his way up beside her, following her like a nervous puppy. Vell was just barely in front of Amaya, walking along lazily. She sighed as softly as a mouse and closed her eyes for a moment, following along.
"Yuuuuuki, why're you so mean?" Kiba asked poutingly, his smug, bratty look emphasizing his words.
She ignored him. "Ne, jisan, didja hear something?"
Amaya shook her head in mild disapproval.
Gracie
WHUD.
"I can't believe you," Scythe said once the door was shut. Between his comment and the others' leave, Rage had promptly slammed his forehead into the kitchen table. Hard. "Being timid is one thing - you're borderline stoic."
WHUD.
"She's getting the wrong impression because you're too afraid to show your feelings around Amaya-san. And you being you, you can't just explain that away. Heck, you can't even confess."
WHUD. WHUD. WHUD.
Scythe came over to Rage and pulled his head up from the table. He sighed and rubbed the red mark on his friend's forehead to soothe the self-punishment's injury. "Don't literally beat yourself up, it's just an expression. -_-"
Rage sat there and stared at the table, feeling pathetic. Why was he reacting so strongly to this? It was irrational and childish. Amaya had looked upset, sure, but that didn't mean this one little misunderstanding would ruin their friendship, right?
...Right?
...
Sweet Kami on a dumpling, it just might.
"No it won't," Scythe assured him as Rage tore at his very short black hair out of sheer hopelessness. The older man smiled a little encouragingly. "When she comes back, just be nicer to Amaya-san? Don't ignore her. Even if it's downright embarrassing. Ne?"
"..."
Vell pocketed his hands as he ambled along languidly. "Somebody's annoying mutt's yipping from somewhere. Otherwise, I hear nothing, my dear niece. <_<"
[Vell's going along with the ignoring game. XD]
