"Thank you!" Yuki chirped, stepping right in over to the little arm chair beside the couch. She turned and sat down in, a smug grin on her face.
Kiba sighed, feigning woe, and worked his way over to sit on the couch directly next to her. He leaned back and closed his eyes. "Man, I dunno about leavin' Akamaru and Akahana at your place. I mean, your uncle ain't very nice to dogs."
"Well, there's not much we can do about that, Kiba. We'll stop by in the morning and pick them up, 'kay?" she soothed.
"Alright, but if somethin' happens, I'm havin' your ass."
"Fat chance, you stupid pervert."
[Cant...post...for Kazuki...bahhhhhhh]
Gracie
[Thank you. ><]
Rage slowly came out of sleep with the sound of morning birds. Light was barely streaming in through the window, which had been covered with a thin black sheet, making the room a comfortable shadow color.
He felt great. After several days without sufficient sleep, Rage felt as if he'd slept through the entire night without a single interruption. It was like heaven.
A sigh escaped his lungs and he snuggled further into the black covers, feeling completely relaxed. He wondered what time it was. Well, Awaji hadn't come in asking for breakfast so it--
Black covers. Black covers?
Rage opened his eyes fully for the first time and was presented with a head of long purple-black hair on the pillow before him. The black haired teen was perhaps a mere few inches from Amaya's body underneath the blanket they shared.
...
For once in his life, Rage was thankful he was a mute. Because in the moment that he realized the situation, he would have screamed.
Loudly.
Like a frightened little girl.
Me
[xD Rage is so funny]
Amaya was still somewhat asleep, her brows furrowing just a small bit as she neared awakening. She breathed quietly, blinking her purple eyes open slightly. She blinked maybe once or twice before she opened them fully, meeting the peachy eyes of her caretaker. "Goodmorning, Rage-kun," she blurted shamelessly, a yawn following.
She felt considerably better, having finally been able to sleep solidly. Her headache and stomachache were gone, only small grumblings replacing the pain. She blinked again and pushed herself up into a sitting position, leaning against her headboard.
Peering around the room, she noticed her scarf dangling on the back of a chair and her headband strewn about the table with her satchel and pouches. She frowned. Her kunai, senbon, scrolls, soldier pills, and shutiken were tossed about unceremoniously in such a messy fashion. It was weird.
She didn't remember having Rage remove her equipment. She felt safer with all of it on.
Unless... Yuki did it. She sighed and rested her head back, glancing at Rage from the corner of her eye. "Did you sleep okay?"
May as well try to be nice. Yuki was going to get the brunt of her frustration.

Rage's mouth opened as if he would say something. It was a shocked reflex, of course - he couldn't speak if he wanted to. He realized the idiotic gesture and snapped his mouth shut, abruptly getting out of the bed and standing beside it.
His ears and cheeks were turning bright red. Amaya was so cool about it. She wasn't embarrassed or self-conscious, like Rage was right now. So there really was something wrong with him. For Kami's sake, she was twelve!
To answer her question, he nodded a little, orange eyes glued to the wall. He couldn't look at her directly at the moment. Inside he was beating himself up quite literally. His instinctual half - the half that had let him sleep in that bed - was battered and bruised. Scolded never to do that again. His conscious and educated half did the scolding, at great lengths.
After a little awkward silence Rage bowed to Amaya - almost in apology - and left her room to distract himself by making breakfast.
[I've decided to keep Rage's warring mind as a reoccurring theme. Practical Rage, who thinks with his mind; and Instinctual Rage, who thinks with his heart. It's fun to write. >3]
