"It's not our fault it got hot last night! It's too warm in here," Yuki grumbled, reluctantly pulling on her black shorts and white hoodie. She was right. She was right and Amaya was wrong. Hmph.

"Yeah, it's not our fault. You guys had the heat on," Kiba agreed, pulling on his mesh shirt and grey jacket, glarin at the purple-haired girl that threw her plastic wrapper at him.

Amaya rolled her eyes and looked up at Bell. "I don't mean to pry, but you're here to pick us up aren't you?"

She wasn't quite sure why she'd asked. But she asked so...may as well take it and run with it. She frowned inwardly and slid off the counter, making a beeline for the fridge again. Cookies, cookies, cookies. Cookies, cookies--ooh, cake. <3

[Lame reply. ><]

Gracie

Vell blatantly ignored the feral children's excuses and turned his face down to look at Amaya. His ear twitched at the sight of her long purple ones. "Unfortunately. The brat didn't come home last night so Onii-san had me come get her, and her teammates while I was at it. Even though the demon twins dragged me around until three in the morning last night." A sharp, accusing look in Yuki's direction.

"Oh," Scythe perked up after being lost in though for a second. He reached into his pocket and withdrew the black coin purse. "Amaya-san, I met with your cousin yesterday - Rukia-san. She's in town for a festival coming up. She wanted me to give you this...?"

[My post's moar lame. =A=']

Me

Amaya paused, her purple eyes widening slightly in the shock of what Scythe had said, nevermind Vell. Rukia? She turned to look at the brown-haired man with disbelief. "Where? How? When? Why?" she quipped expectantly.

She hadn't seen that redheaded girl in years. In YEARS. She frowned, glaring at Scythe intensely. Why, other than the festival, would she be here? How did she get here? Who was she with? Why was she with them? When did she get here? So many questions.

She frowned deeper.

"Tell me."

"Calm down, Amaya. Quit hounding him." Yuki's comment was due but it wasn't necessary.

Gracie

Rage blinked at Amaya, whose purple eyes were fixated on Scythe like he was a ginger cookie she wanted to devour. The brown haired man raised his hands defensively as if he thought the same.

"I went for a walk yesterday and she was in the BBQ hut down the road. I was with some blind kid she used to know - Kazuki-kun was his name - and he was acting so shy that I started up conversation to help him out. Rukia-san talked about you. She said that all of us should come see her at the festival."

His hunger had gotten the better of him - Awaji slunk out of the bedroom and beelined for the stove next to Rage. He ignored Vell completely and leaned his head against the black haired man's side, watching the meat sizzle and pop. He made a pitiful whimper. Rage sighed quietly and stuck a chunk into Awaji's mouth with chopsticks. At this rate there'd be none for actual breakfast.

Scythe held out the black coin purse for Amaya to take. "She wanted me to give you this. I don't know what's in it."
