"I don't know. I didn't ask. But the festival is in two weeks!" the redhead clapped her hands, not even noticing the food that had just recently been laid out before her.

Kazuki chuckled lightly. "Next time, ask, Roo-Roo."

She puffed out her pink cheeks. "Fine. Meanie.

He shook his head and opened his eye, pushing off his hands to lean against the table. There was food. And it smelled damn good. Too bad he lost his appetite a while ago... Mental frown.

"Hey, Rukia, have you met up with Ami-san or Kakashi-san? I know you used to train with the guy so..."

"No, I haven't. Sadly." She shook her head in mild disapproval. She did miss that too-cool guy. He was her teacher and they would train with each other, what with them both being ANBU at the time.

"Maybe you should stop in. I heard he has a kid now."

She smiled. "Kazu-kun, have you been paying attention to other people's conversations again? Tsk, tsk. Silly."

Gracie

The mischievous mental grin Scythe had gotten due to the date of the festival was replaced with a light bulb. "Ami-san...? Ami-san, Ami...why does that sound familiar?" he asked himself, rolling his eyes up to the ceiling in thought.

And then the other name caught his attention. "Kakashi-sa--?" Vell. Crap. Crap crap crap. Sitting at a table of bijuu-collectors and he was going to harp all about his jinchuriki friend. Nice.

"Ah, wait!" Scythe gasped, turning to Kazuki. "You don't work in a grocer's do you? Rage-kun said-- well, he doesn't talk... well, he told me by not talking that Amaya-san got weirded out by this blind kid that was too nosy."

...

"Not that...you're nosy...really, you're not...." Scythe grinned at Rukia. "So you were asked to sing at a festival, huh? You must be a really great singer."

[Smooth, Scythe. Very smooth. XD]
