[Shirt and bland post. So...so tired...]

Amaya looked up at Rage with her big purple eyes, frowned, and thanked him as the gingersnaps in his hands cascaded into her black basket. Holy confections... She kept up her stare, her mouth slowly opening.

The little black purse that had been secured in between her teeth fell to the pile of sweets. She gave an uncharacteristic squeak and quickly turned her gaze to the tiny pouch. Had she forgotten it was there? She frowned. Indeed. She had.

She was going to offer him her purse so he could pay for her...groceries. It wasn't like she could count. She COULD, but not well. Not money. Only distance. With money, everything just got tinier and tinier. Well, so did distance but that's different.

Money was associated with livelihood. Distance was associated with her work.

She easily balance the black basket against her hip and swiped her purse, offering it to Rage. She placed it in his hand and frowned, still peeved she could ONLY frown.

It's an annoying gesture. It was also rude and not always called for. Frowns were for bad things, not good things.

She sighed inwardly.

It wasn't that Yuki had no faith in Vell or Kakashi. Simply, she just didn't have faith in herself.

If Kiba was dead, it was her fault. If they were lying, it was to make her feel better. He was her partner and her mate. She trusted him as much as she trusted Kakashi, which was a lot. The fanged, cocky Inuzuka boy was what she had to look forward to every day. He was the sun in a darkened world.

Don't misunderstand. Kakashi meant everything to Yuki. He saved her AND took her in when she was little. The jounin didn't have to adopt her. He didn't. But he did. And he loved her and taught her things and gave her a place to live.

Essentially, the two made her world go round. Without one or the other, her world would slow down. Without both, it would stop.

She huffed shakily and sniffled, tears still flowing. They better be telling the truth. "Then do it, Vell."

[Last post of the night. Must sleep. =.='']

Rage looked at the little purse in his hand and at the little girl who had given it to him. She was frowning again. Was that all she was able to do?

Well. Mr. Stone-Face couldn't exactly criticize, could he?

Still, the presence of a frown wasn't as acceptable on a girl's face than it was on a boy's. Rage could get away with it and people wouldn't think twice, but to have a girl frown so much at everything...it was concerning, if nothing else.

Rage inclined his head to her and went down the aisle towards the front counter, grabbing things he remembered Awaji or Scythe liked off the shelves as he went.

"OOOOIIII! Any of you know where a Kiba brat was taken?!"

"Vell!" Kakashi snapped, stricken and stern at once. "Don't yell, you're in a hospital!"

The silver haired teen turned back from where he'd yelled into the hallway, fiercely determined. "I'm not gonna sit around and be called a liar because a certain mutt was too much of a wuss to get up and show he's alright himself!" He looked back at Yuki's tears defiantly. "Wait there and I'll get the bastard." He stalked into the hallway. "MUTT! Where are you??"

Kakashi leaned back against the wall with an exasperated sigh. "I won't be surprised if we're all kicked out of the hospital for this...."
