[Lol. I never would have guessed.]
"Ah, yes. I'm sorry your master did that to you." Kazuki shook his head solemnly and returned Scythe's unseen smile. Truly, he was. His father had done the same, only, he actually did it. "Where to?"
Chilly winter day, hm. Every time the wind blew on by, he could smell the sweet scent of cakes and the tangy scent of everything else. Food and frozen air. It was actually a damn good combination. Very good. He smiled.
But on this draft of swirling cold air, he caught another smell far sweet than any confection he's ever had the privilege of smelling. Was that... No it couldn't be. She was much sweeter than this. At least, from what he could remember, she smelled like that of sugared strawberries and sweetened lemonade. Her long red hair was always held up in a pony-tail or a messy bun to keep it out of her heart-shaped face. She had the reddest candy apply eyes that were rimmed with a soft, petal pink, her red bangs framing her face.
This girl that he so remembered was always so bubbly and happy, absolutely extatic when she could meet up with an old friend or really anyone for that matter. She loved to entertain people. Absolutely loved it. She would always sing or paint or even impress them with her strength and vast medical skills, even her genjutsu and sharingan eye. She'd do anything to entertain a group or single person.
Of course, the last time he saw her was about six or seven years ago. By now, she's probably vastly different. She might even smell a tad sweeter or maybe even sour. Who knows? He only wished he could see or hear her again.
Kazuki frowned. One thing was absolutely sure, he would never be able to SEE the bouncy Uchiha Rukia again.
Gracie
Scythe decided that an outside booth would be too cold to stand, even if the food was good. So he lead Kazuki to the nearest BBQ hut he could find. They slid into their booth and Scythe smiled at the blind teen. "Well this is a first for me. Going to lunch with a stranger, I mean. It's kinda fun," he laughed amicably.
The waitress took their order and went to fetch the raw meat. A little silence passed between the men. Scythe smiled again. "So, you got any family here, or are you by yourse--"
Strawberries. Wait, what?
Scythe looked over his booth to see a gorgeous young girl come into the restaurant, practically skipping through the door. Gorgeous might not have really covered it, though. Her hair was a long whip of cherry red down her back, along with the bangs lightly framing her heart-shaped face. Her eyes were a candied-apple red, and they were bright and cheerful. It was as if happiness incarnate had just entered the BBQ shop.
He finally realized he'd been staring and turned back to Kazuki to apologize for his silence, but the brown haired teen had a peculiar look on his face.
