Nothing like a swing around town. The air is fresh. (Well sort of) Low crime. It's a bit cool tonight. Everything is calm. Nothing much to worry about for me. "Hey, I should just take the night off and treat myself to something nice," I think to myself, "Maybe eat at a restaurant like... Uno's. They have some great pizza."
My Spider-Sense suddenly goes off. It feels like a thousand bombs going off inside my head. Stumbling back, I begin to black out. "This pressure...is- I can't take it anymore-" I mumble.
"We've been expecting you...Peter Parkerrrrr...."
*********
"gAH!" I gasp, "Where- Where am I!"
As I lay my hand on my head, a loud deep cackle echoes. I spot glass, pieces of wood, rubble, and puddles of murky water around me. "Warehouse..." Shadows leap through the light. My Spider-Sense isn't acting up anymore, but something deep within my gut tells me that this is worse than it appears.
"It seems like the spider is awake nowww."
I swear to God, I didn't hear that with my ears... "Where are you?!" I shout.
"We're here... there... anywhere you go.."
A small glint shines through the darkness of the structure followed by two white cresent shapped eyes.
"Youuuu found usssssss..!"

A loud ear splitting shriek is heard, and I see it lunge towards me. I'm thrown into the ground with a loud THUD! The crushing pain on my chest is unbearable... Muscles are screaming. Head... blaring again... I can't see the rest of this thing squashing me to death until it nears its head towards me, teeth bearing.

"NO!" I shout.
THWAK!
Venom flies across the room into a wall and hisses. I stumble to my feet tightening my fist. "For once, I'm going to win against you!" I'm not backing down from this...not anymore.
"You were weaaaaak! Powerrrlesss. Pathetic! YOU WERE A FUCK UP!"
Venom began to near himself towards me.
"YOU ARE NOTHINNNG!"
"And I know what you are. You're everything I hate. What threatened to hold me back."
"My fear."
"My anger."
"My self doubt."
"But I'm tired of hiding. I'm getting rid of you!"

THWACK!
"The first time we fought, you nearly crushed my head. But ever since then, that's what it felt like the moment after I thought we defeated you. My best friend and I thought I won my battle only to find out you were the darkness inside my head that wouldn't leave me alone."

Tendrils formed from his shoulders and attempt to wrap themselves around me. I kick him away from me and use a web line to chuck a crate into Venom. He screams in agony, but it's not the physical damage I dealt that's affecting him. He knows he's losing his grip on me.
"Your poisonous influence affected me. Made me feel weak. Almost cost me a lot. But you felt it, that day. The day I chose to overcome my self doubt. The day I finally had a spark of confidence... Your toxicity began to lose it's effect. I realized that I'm not what you said I was. I'm not a failure. I'm not a screw up. I'm not a nobody. I began to fight back."
"You aren't stronnnng enough."
"Oh, here's the thing: I am. And you know that I am."
Venom lashes out and swipes at me. "DUCK! Flip back! Under his arm! Jump! Now!" I think strategically.
THWIP! THWIP!
I pull Venom upward and slam him down into the ground leaving a crater. I perch on top of him.
"You'll never winnn..." he growls, "I'll alwayssss come back."
The symbiote starts latching on to me. Dark thoughts fill my head again. Everything's....coming back to me.
"They wouldn't carrre if you disappeared. No one would ask... Your death would go unnoticed."
"Then kill me," I answered coldly.
Everything goes dark for a few moments. Then, I'm on my knees, mask in hand. I can feel the tears falling down my face. "Maybe they wouldn't..."
"-But I'm not done fighting you. I'm never giving in. Latch back on, and I'm sure as hell I'll tear you off again. Drain me. Fill me with despair. Make the way out darker."
"But I know there's light at the end of the tunnel."
