Dear Peter,

I've known. I've always known. From the day your uncle Ben passed, I've known about your secret identity. You suddenly disappeared into the dark that day when I was at your house. I didn't know where you went. Neither did May. I worried and worried where you went off to, so I walked out to the backyard and caught a of glimpse of Spider-Man near the house. Then suddenly, you showed up. Right smack in front of the door. You said you went for a walk, but I know you found the one responsible for Ben's death and strung him up for the cops.

Since then, all I've seen were headlines calling you a menace. Newspapers from the Bugle claiming that you could've been the one who set up a robbery you stopped earlier that day. Claiming that you were in league with those such as the Doc Ock. The city hated you for a time, but you kept saving it. You kept doing good for those that didn't appreciate you. All you did was gave. Never asked for anything in return.

The day I read about Gwen on the newspapers... I couldn't imagine what you went through. There wasn't a single moment that I wondered how you were doing. How you would be able to handle losing someone that meant that much to you.

I know of how many you've lost and how much you worry about everything, Peter. There are days where the rain clouds above your head could ensure that New York never has another water shortage again.

But Peter Parker never gave up. You never quit no matter how grueling it was. You still put your life on the line every day despite the fact you knew some still wouldn't appreciate you. You do it because it's right.

You deserve the world, Pete. And although I can't really give it to you, I'll gladly make sure you know that at least someone in this world appreciates and admires what you do.

Sincerely,

MJ Watson
