"Oh come on Piper, stop being such a drama-mama!" Riley snickered but I continued composing a message for Braylee.
"Bakit? Nubang problema?" tanong ni lucho pero hindi ako kumibo at nanatiling nakatitig sa cellphone ko. Kakatapos lang naming maghapunan at naglalakad na kami pabalik sa kanya-kanya naming dormitoryo.
"Well Lucho-boy, while we were out grocery shopping, Piper here was almost robbed while I was almost raped." Tila ba nagmamalaki pa si Riley.
"Di nga!" gulat na bulalas ni Lucho, hindi makapaniwala.
"Yeah! Hard to believe it happened inside a grocery shop right?" Riley snarked.
"No, I mean ikaw muntikang ma-rape?! Eh ikaw nga ang mukhang rapist eh!" Lucho said and then next thing I heard was him screaming for ear life.
I looked up from my phone and turned around. Riley was already yanking Lucho's hair like a rag doll kaya napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako at inawat sila. Buti nalang bumitaw agad si Riley nang hilahin ko siya, yun nga lang para nang dinaanan ng ipo-ipo ang buhok ni Lucho.
I sighed. Ako na nga lang ang magpapaliwanag kay Lucho. "I just want to check on Braylee if she's okay. I mean i'm just kinda triggered considering I almost got robbed in a supposedly secured public place."
"Don't worry about Braylee. Si Reika kasama nun. Mas nakakatakot pa si Reika kaysa kay Warren." Paniniguro ni Lucho kaya napatingin akong muli sa message na di ko pa nase-send kay Braylee. I sighed. I guess i'm just overreacting.
"Speaking of Wawie, where is he? Ba't di siya sumabay mag dinner?" tanong ni Riley.
"Wasn't feeling well so he's sleeping it off," sagot ni Lucho.
"Uy bati na sila," panunukso ko kay Riley sabay siko sa kanya. Nagtatampo pa kasi 'tong si Bakla kay Warren pagkatapos siyang sapakin nito.
"Bati naman talaga kami! Nakakawala ng ganda ang sama ng loob," Riley said with her head held high. I couldn't help but smile. This is what I like about these people. Hindi nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. I guess this is one of the reasons why we got along so good; we're all just chill and laughing. Warren is the gentle big brother, I'm the control freak, Braylee's the innocent baby who should be protected at all cost, while Riley and Lucho are like the cat and dog who keeps on clashing. We all have different personalities but what keeps us together is the fact that we don't really hold grudges when we cross the line sometimes. We don't do silent treatments. We get over it like siblings. No drama.
"You know what... Fuck it," I smiled and sighed as I erased the message that I was supposed to send to Braylee. Baka rin kasi mamaya masakal na siya sa sobrang pangangamusta ko sa kanya. I don't want her to find me weird and obsessive.
